Ladyleftfieldlover sending you a (((hug)))

Jaxjacky Thu 02-May-24 20:26:14

Oh llfl that’s very sad, I’m so sorry, you must be distraught, I can only hope that time will heal the rift 🥀xx

What cheery news SueD you’re post is oozing happiness x

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 02-May-24 19:59:21

Hello kitchen people. Just a very quick visit. I am feeling very down. My two sons have had a massive falling out and neither will back down. Both rang me last night to talk about it. To put it mildly I am devastated and on the verge of tears.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 02-May-24 19:58:37

SueDonim brilliant news

SueDonim Thu 02-May-24 19:29:42

I’m quickly popping in with the happy news that ds1’s latest scan has shown that the current treatment is working. He’s got two more sessions and then will move onto a maintenance regime to control it, hopefully for many years. It’s a such a relief after all the bad news.

I hope MrUrms continues to do well, too. Xxx

Jaxjacky Thu 02-May-24 18:59:04

Treating, not grating!!

Jaxjacky Thu 02-May-24 18:58:16

Swings and roundabouts there GG13, camping in the garden could be a new adventure for your family 🙂
The bathroom is finished 👍 the shower has a slight leak👎MrJ will have a look tomorrow, or it’s hello plumber again.
Farm shop today, voted, pharmacy and checked the greenhouse, it’s been a dull, cooler day with light drizzle after big storms overnight.
I’m grating MrJ to fish and chips, after his tiling he deserves it (means I don’t cook too!).
Urms ❤️

NannyG4 Thu 02-May-24 16:02:59

Urms... I know that feeling too well, my DH is going through quite an ordeal health wise and I'm watching him like a hawk...... Difficulty sleeping and so anxious all the time.... But like say when they're up it feels so much better.... Its been life changing and I so loved my life before.... Do take care....
I'm a lurker on this thread and have followed your journey xx

Hello Kitcheners.I hope your quiet time in the kitchen helped Urms, always lovely to see you.Rest up Blossoming.

Feeling rather battered after an intense Physio session.Hopefully will be worth it for my poorly shoulder.
After a very bad storm last night it’s an another dull grey day.

Chicken traybake for dinner always a favourite.
Have a good evening everyone.

Blossoming Thu 02-May-24 14:38:44

Good afternoon dear Kitcheners. Today is going well so far. It’s a beautiful day here after a cloudy start. MrB has gone for a motorcycle ride, it does him so much good to get out. I pottered about, did a little light housework, then had coffee and toast for lunch.

I have been for a walk and voted, MrB just texted to tell me he’s been to my favourite chocolate shop so that’s tea sorted grin.

Now resting, have used all my spoons for today! Urmstongran you are so right, this is a perfect place for curling up in a comfortable corner, glad you’re feeling a little better today. I’m glad there is some progress GG13 albeit not the progress you may have wished for.

Love and best wishes to you all ❤️

We have had the call the insurance company have instructed new loss adjusters, they are going to be conducting more in depth inspections and monitoring.

The upside is I finally feel that we are being listened to, the downside is no repairs will be happening anytime soon. This is inconvenient as one of our guest bedrooms is uninhabitable now that the builders will not be back anytime soon. We normally have an influx of GC, AC and other family members over the summer, but hey ho it is what it is 🙋‍♀️

Urmstongran Thu 02-May-24 13:36:04

Thanks all - I’m feeling better today. Life at home/Christie’s can be a rollercoaster of emotions but when Himself is ‘up’ like today thankfully, so am I.
😊

brook2704 Wed 01-May-24 22:17:33

Sending warmest hugs Urms ❤️

I’ll keep everything crossed for you GG13 🤞

Nannytopsy Wed 01-May-24 22:11:58

🤞for you GrannyGravy.
Lovely evening with nearly all of the family. DGS emptied the watering can onto the patio and had so much fun splashing in it! 🥰

Grannyme6 Wed 01-May-24 21:48:51

Urms, sending love, and hoping you’re feeling a bit better now. 💐

GrannyGravy13 Wed 01-May-24 20:28:18

Tomorrow is conference call day I have everything crossed that by the weekend we shall know how we are going forward with the house stuff 🤞

GrannyGravy13 Wed 01-May-24 20:25:53

Urmstongran (((hugs))) 😘

Urmstongran Wed 01-May-24 20:25:21

Much appreciated and needed. Thanks Jax I’m just so on edge today.

Jaxjacky Wed 01-May-24 20:10:20

Come and sit Urms a hot chocolate, blanket and a hug x

Urmstongran Wed 01-May-24 19:29:37

Good evening lovely kitcheners. I’m feeling a bit jittery so I thought I’d pop in and sit quietly amongst friends for a while.

Jaxjacky Wed 01-May-24 19:27:49

Hi all, busy day on your return SueD I’ve got a pair of glasses, varifocal that have never been right, as I had two and the other pair are fine I couldn’t be bothered to return them. I’m due a check up this year, so I will.
That picture is so tranquil Blossoming I could lose myself there, how calming.
Well, needless to say, two bathroom parts were missing, tomorrow has been promised, sigh.
MrJ is chef tonight, chicken sausages, mash and beans, smells tasty.
Have a pleasant evening all.

Grandmabatty Wed 01-May-24 18:36:13

Good evening Kitcheners. Brook it was such a nice day earlier. Sadly the east haar came back to down and I have put the heating on. Have a lovely time with your dgc. Cornergran enjoy your food.
Today I have spent the morning in the garden, sweeping up detritus and then weeding. Sadly, I have done something to my back so I had to stop and rest. It's slightly better but I can feel twinges still. Two washes out and dried and towels washed and dried in the tumble dryer. I'm like my daughter and not a fan of crispy towels. I have a one pot chicken and chorizo Cajun pasta dish bubbling away for later. Yum. I might do the ironing later or perhaps leave it to tomorrow. The world is my lobster!
I know it should be oyster but we've always said lobster.
Enjoy your evening all.

cornergran Wed 01-May-24 17:47:06

Sorry for the typos, memo to self - slow down!!

cornergran Wed 01-May-24 17:46:31

Fabulous gift soop. Sadly no perfume seems to stick on me now. An hour and it’s vanished. Hope the bathroom is finished soon.

Oh goodness ladylfl, that must have hurt your husband. Hoping for better tempered bees in future.

We also struggle with family gifts. The teenagers will, always be pleased with money, mthe younger one is less pleased with cash gifts and causes no end of headaches. We like to give the adults a token gift, struggling with those now too.

Best be off food is almost there and for once I’m hungry, a rare occurrence so why does there seem to be more of me? Take care everyone.

brook2704 Wed 01-May-24 17:32:45

Good afternoon kitchen pals, it’s been a lovely warm sunny day here in Inverness, It was just jeans and tshirt whilst gardening - it felt really nice!
We’re just waiting for DGS to arrive for a sleepover, there’s no school tomorrow as it’s an in service day here so DGS is staying tonight and DGD tomorrow night 🤦‍♀️ we’ll then get a bit of a rest over the weekend as they’re all away
I’m just the same SueD and never know what to buy people these days - money is always a good option when stuck. Hope your little kitten is doing ok after her op. Shame about the new glasses
Well done with your walking Blossoming easy does it
Hoping everyone has arrived safely nannytopsy enjoy the family time
