Hi all, well done Grandmabatty and you enjoyed it.
MrJ took our grandson to football, Southampton scored the winning goal 30 seconds from the end of the game, very exciting.
Your relaxing place * Blossoming* hopefully your boiler is being fixed.
I’ve potted on plants in the greenhouse, it was warm in there, fleece is at the ready for any nasty frost, the sun took an age to appear today.
Cottage pie ready for dinner, just need to sort some veg, we’re taking my daughter and the children out for a late lunch tomorrow.

brook2704 Sat 13-Apr-24 18:38:46

Gorgeous pictures Blossoming and Yia thanks for sharing
Pleased you enjoyed your art day grandmabatty no wonder you’re tired though, I hope you have a restful evening just chilling out
It’s been a day of sunshine and heavy showers here, a bit of gardening done but not that much. I’ve been decluttering again -or trying to at least
Hope you get reconnected to Baggs again soop!
Grannmarie sending 💐

Afternoon kitcheners. I'm exhausted with a full day of art! Neine I have no energy left! Jaxjacky it was really good. I was lacking in confidence at the start but improved by the end. I think I acquitted myself fairly well. I'm having a seat before organising dinner. Trout, salad and a few chips. Enjoy your evening all.

soop Sat 13-Apr-24 16:00:01

Apologies! Naughtyneine A serious Senior Gaff. Ladyleftfieldlover I should have said that I love your picture.

RosiesMaw A very gentle hug from me to Rosie.

Sweetie Pie (feral cat) called by last evening. We last saw him a good two months ago. In he strolled. Ate a mini banquet, sat on the mat and licked his face clean and then, without as much as a farewell look sauntered away into the copse. Cats!!!

Baggs just phoned. We've been cut off! Buggerations galore.

soop Sat 13-Apr-24 15:43:45

It is a joy to see that there is good news for us lot to share.

Nauughtyneine Your birthday gift is perfect. I love it.

Good news Granygravy you must be relieved.

Wonderful pic Blossoming very relaxing.
Your 4 days in Dorset will be great Jax.🏖️
Hope your art day is going well Grandmabatty.

We had a lovely afternoon yesterday. We took the 4GC to the TopGolf centre then, back here for a BBQ and a game of boules. The weather was nice for a change and a good time was had by all.
Healing thoughts to Rosie.Enjoy your evening everyone.

It's was lovely to pop in and find Blossoming and Grandmarie have also popped in too. Granny gravy...I hope your DS continues to get well and the compression thing isn't too uncomfortable. Grand Marie..lots of prayers coming your way for your loved one.
Blossoming..a little break will do your good I'm sure.
Jax... Let's hope a bit of warm weather helps with the recovery from the effects of the lurgy.
Soop... That was a very long day for you both. It makes me laugh when they squish your boob between 2 pieces of metal attached to about 2 tons of equipment then make you place your arms at angles akin to maypole dancing and then say DON'T MOVE....I have been tempted to say..Do I look like Jeff Capes but as they probably wouldn't know who he is and coupled with the fact that speech is beyond me I just count the seconds until my lallys are free to roam again. I hope the next round of appointments go well.
GrandmaB... Where do you get your energy from?
LlfL...I love the picture..it goes so well with the colours in the curtains and it's fun too.
Maws... I hope Rosie is better now...
The puppy was castrated last week..we were told no jumping...playing... Walking off lead etc all of which we tried to do but he was having none of it. Within 2 hours of being home he jumped out of the soft crate I'd put him in to recover and was up on the sofa!!!!. He met a lady springador at Forde Abbey on Saturday and they proceeded to pretend they were boxing hares.
We are out today to Corsham in Wiltshire to meet our friends for their belated 60th Wedding Anniversary meal. Luckily it means I'll avoid meeting our Parish Priest for another day.... I'm still recovering from my faux Pas extradornaire. Enjoy the sunshine everyone.

We are in Galloway, it’s been a sunny windy morning. WiFi not great. Good news GrannyGravy ❤️

Been out, now relaxing in the conservatory. View from the window right now.

A very late Good Evening, Soop and lovely Kitchen people. I just popped in to try to catch up on all your news, and I'm very touched by your kind messages of support, very much appreciated. This is indeed a very special place.
Loved one is still in hospital, now recovering from major surgery, but things are beginning to look a bit more positive. Early days.
Thinking of you, Grannygravy and your DS, wishing him a speedy and complete recovery, and of all who are ill or worried about the health of loved ones. Sending love and prayers. 💕🙏🕯
Wishing safe journeys to the travellers, good weather for the gardeners, happy family times with DGC, and a good weekend to all.
DH and I are going to see the Wee Boy tomorrow, after his football training, that will cheer us up!
If it is at all possible, I'm hoping to make it to the Glasgow Grans' meet up on Wednesday, fingers crossed 🤞. Plans are very much subject to change at the moment...
TOYA, NNGB.

Poor Rosie. Get well soon

GrannySomerset Fri 12-Apr-24 22:44:58

Hope you both feel better tomorrow, Maw. I expect Rosie will forgive you.

RosiesMaw Fri 12-Apr-24 22:40:32

Kind thought please for Rosie who has had a stressful day at the vets having THREE cracked teeth removed under GA.
I used to buy her “Yak snacks” - a dental chew made out of solidified yak butter (nom, nom ) but I suspect she cracked the teeth on them so NO MORE
I will be attempting to brush them instead 🤪🤪🤪
My nerves are in tatters but she’s fine really 🐶

brook2704 Fri 12-Apr-24 19:01:19

Good to have a holiday to look forward to Jax and hope the sun shines! 😎

brook2704 Fri 12-Apr-24 18:59:51

Your birthday picture does look very good on your wall llfl - enjoy celebrating your birthday!

And I bet your DGS really enjoyed choosing your parrot fridge magnet grandmabatty 🦜

Jaxjacky Fri 12-Apr-24 18:51:47

Very good news GG13 you must have been relieved.
Enjoy your weekend Nannytopsy I hope it stays dry for you.
MrJ is feeling much better, but we’re both coughing, not keeping us awake at night though. We’ve been to our local, people were sat outside, not warm enough for me yet, it was glorious first thing today, but cloud crept in.
We’ve booked four days near the beach in Dorset for early June, I shall optimistically pack a pair of flip flops, please don’t let it rain for four days!
Curry for dinner, I’m just reheating it, I’ve sneaked some lentils in, I think they might be commented on.
Grannmarie I hope your world is not too troubling.

Grandmabatty Fri 12-Apr-24 18:47:54

Ladyleftfieldlover it fits your decor wonderfully

Grandmabatty Fri 12-Apr-24 18:47:01

Grannygravy that's good news about your son. I had a lovely dinner tonight of baked trout fillet with new potatoes and a massive salad. So healthy too. Glad you are feeling better, * Nannytopsy*. A quiet time for you Brook. Dd came round with dgs1 who had bought me a parrot fridge magnet from Tenerife. He was very happy with it. He starts football training on Monday and is very excited about that. I'm going to have a quiet Friday night. Enjoy your night all.

Ladyleftfieldlover Fri 12-Apr-24 18:43:32

A framed print which OH has bought for my forthcoming birthday, arrived today. This is it, in all its madness!

brook2704 Fri 12-Apr-24 18:23:14

Really good news GG13 wishing your DS all the very best for a speedy recovery
Pleased to hear you’re feeling much better nannytopsy sounds like a fun weekend ahead - enjoy!

Nannytopsy Fri 12-Apr-24 17:46:33

That’s all good news GrannyGravy both your son and the imp!
I’m floating on a cloud of painkillers but feeling much better! A bit of tidying, several loads of washing and now awaiting the DGC for a last minute weekend. Their big sister was meant to be in charge, but she isn’t the most supportive! At least they will get breakfast here.
Hope you have good weekends.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 12-Apr-24 17:19:16

The weather has been glorious here today, I took The Imo to the play park for a while, came home had lunch (during which DS4 rang, he is out of surgery and hoping to come home later tonight as he hasn’t got any drains in op site)

We had all the doors open onto the garden, I potted up some newly purchased shrubs and pulled out dead branches from the Sambuca Nigra Black Lace. The Imp rediscovered the garden toys and had fun.

Have a good evening.

brook2704 Fri 12-Apr-24 16:37:35

It’s it’s been a lovely sunny day here in Inverness although it has been quite windy. I had to really peg the washing very firmly onto the line
Lots of gardening done, I bought some small colourful plants from the garden centre just to add a bit of colour and fill in a few gaps. I’ve just come in now and put the kettle on, before I go and get a shower. Hoping blossoming has arrived at her hotel and enjoying her warm shower too. It’ll be a bit of a quiet weekend here for me as DH is away visiting his 3 sons and 3DGSs down in Manchester and DD2 is still on holiday so I’ve lots of time to do nothing much. I could easily have gone with DH as we all get on really well, but I think it’s nice that they spend time together and enjoy a boys weekend
So it’ll be dinner for one later!

brook2704 Fri 12-Apr-24 16:24:34

I’ll second that grandmabatty hoping grannmarie is doing ok 💐

Grandmabatty Fri 12-Apr-24 07:55:52

I'm missing Grannmarie I know she has family worries, so just want to give her a wave and hope things settle.
