Just a local shop today I have a bag of books for charity shop and I'd like some fresh flowers so a trip to Aldi.
Meeting friends at the club later.

Morning Mick, morning All from a brightening corner of Somerset.

Medical focus yesterday. Surprise call from the hospital while we were on our way to buy some compost just in case it’s ever dry enough to enjoy gardening. Physio wants to see me sooner rather than later, could I go next Tuesday. Indeed I can. Not a lot else. I’m not at my best. Finally managed to fit my symptoms into the on line system to request a surgery appointment (doubt a doctor), exhaustion levels are increasing and becoming unmanageable along with a whole host of other irritants. I’m quite annoyed with me!

Quiet morning, Tai Chi this afternoon and maybe a short visit from one granddaughter and her dad.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 2° and pouring rain. It's coming from the east which usually indicates bad weather. It is very cold too. Mizuna that sounds quite painful. I hope it goes well. RosesandLilac I have a little summerhouse but don't use it as often as I thought I would.
Yesterday I was at an art class to learn how to draw hands. It was very good and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Today I have no plans and, looking at the weather, I'm quite glad. I have a couple of phonecalls to make which I'm not looking forward to but that's all. I really should begin spring cleaning but the weather is putting me off starting. I just feel like 'coorying doon'. I shall see if I can find some motivation somewhere. Have a good day all.

Good morning everyone from Inverness where we got a wintery snowy start to the day and quite cold at just 2°
Today I’m off to the gym, there’s the aqua Zumba class at lunchtime and then this afternoon theres a farewell get together in the cafe area. Lots of us bringing something to share at the buffet and we’ll all be saying our goodbyes before it closes for good on Sunday. I’m not sure if I’m joining a different gym or not yet, will see how it goes.
So sad and tragic for those families mizuna

Morning all, our Easter Break cohort are falling ill kne after the other, 10 of us are now on the sick list 😱

I reluctantly saw a GP yesterday, and as expected I have strong antibiotics and an eight week course of steroids. I know that steroids work wonders when my asthma is exacerbated but I really do not like taking them. I will have a face like a dinner plate for the next three months 😡 (yes it’s my vanity kicking in)

The weather is doing absolutely nothing to make me feel better, no visits to our local RHS gardens with the GC this Easter (there is a wild part with hives and a big hill for rolling down which the little ones love, they are not frightened of bees, just fascinated by them)

Good morning from a damp Cornwall where I'm itching to get going with assembling a flat-packed desk that arrived last night. I'll install bookshelves above it and need to buy the brackets later.

After desk-building I'm off to our main hospital a bus ride away to have a broken wisdom tooth root cut out as my dentist couldn't tackle it. I don't mind dental stuff fortunately. Apparently it could take two hours from start to finish and the bus stop is right outside the hospital so that's useful.

I'm a bit sad as one of the men killed in the recent Gaza aide convoy attack lived here. I didn't know him but still I feel for his family. A lot of peope gathered in sympathy in the town centre yesterday.

Good morning all from a rainy North Leicestershire.

A 'crack of dawn' morning as it is known here. We have a man coming to look at removing the moss on the garage roof at 9am.

I have a singing lesson this morning and then a trip to the butcher in the next village. I ought to try doing some ironing too but that could go by the board.

Morning all from a very wet West Oxfordshire. Our gardener is supposed to be coming this afternoon but we’ll see. OH wants to check on his bees but they don’t like the rain and he won’t want to disturb them if they’re in the hive. I still haven’t collected the present for my new great niece. This will happen today.
I may do some housework. We really must organise another cleaner but they’re like gold dust.

DH is off assessing Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions this weekend, so it's just DS and I at home.
I'll have a thorough clean after the full house of the last few days and will make meals out of freezer oddments.

Good morning from soggy south Glos, yet another saturated day ahead.
I enjoyed art club yesterday, despite getting very wet between the car and the room we use at the hall.
Today more watercolours I think, i really need to start being more consistent, I will never improve if I don’t practice for heaven’s sake! I don’t have any excuses, it’s more a case of ‘All the gear and no idea’ I think!
I have been looking at summerhouses for when the greenhouse goes, I have fancied having one for years but no room. Just a little retreat for me (and the dog I suspect!

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from still dark South Yorkshire, but from what I can see, it looks wet. Oh what a surprise! I was awake early with all sorts of silly things going round in my head.
Decided to drag myself out with the walking group yesterday in spite of the weather and rather enjoyed it. We stuck to as many dry paths as we could, but there was still plenty of mud! Had lunch with DD and came home via my niece’s house where her almost two year old GD was having a meltdown. Gosh it was loud!!
Today I will go into cleaning mode, change the bed in the spare room and do some food shopping as DS is coming tomorrow for an overnight.
Hope you get plums, GM; I always get lots of flowers but no plums. I’ve given up on them!

Good morning from cold, wet, miserable South Lanarkshire.

Yesterday DH made up the spare bed but I had to sneakily sort out the duvet which he’d managed to put into the cover sideways. It seemed to take an age but the room is guest ready at last. DH does a little model making and normally uses a table in that room so as not to have to tidy things away so he was against the clock finishing off the latest one.

DoutLaw isn’t working today but we will go over anyway to see them but possibly won’t stay all day.

Good morning from Malta where another sunny day is forecast wth a high of 25°C.

It has been so dusty lately that I need to do some serious cleaning behind and under furniture. Not my favourite task.

I’ll be looking after the boys at noon so DD3 can have her highlights done. I popped in yesterday to see them and was given a warm welcome by both boys and their little dog who goes over the top with his greetings!

Good morning from a dry s somerset

Yesterday was a good day, I did everything I wanted to get done and more besides. I opened several more window vents but shut them again by evening, it is still too cool and anyway the coming wind would be blowing lots of dust in. I felt satisfied, which is a nice feeling and I worked non stop for over three hours from first thing. The afternoon was my own, as it is every day

I have half an hour of deep cleaning left for today, nothing too strenuous and from here on in, it will be just a case of keeping on top of routine. I think I have almost finished spring cleaning and tbh that is another thing that just evolved for me

I will be making plant variety labels later, ready for outdoor sowing season

Ash, we have the same problem here. Anything they do makes for an increase in fees….
At the moment, it is the contract for servicing stairlifts. As for the “gardening”, they only manage lawn mowing. Gardening? Ha!

Good morning from a predictably wet Bristol. I hope this latest storm won’t affect any of you too much.
My little plum tree, a Christmas present, has produced 5 flowers! There are probably more to come; I must examine it more closely.
After the two hours sleep I had, I took the bus into town for my eye appointment. All the test results were normal and I should be discharged after the next checkup early next month.
I came home and went straight to bed, for another couple of hours. I spent the day doing very little, only unpacking late in the afternoon.
Had a quick chat to one of my friends and a cuppa with the other. I gave them both the little tote bag I got them.
I managed an unheard of seven hours last night! No nap necessary today. Bedding change, laundry to do, some food shopping, library perhaps.

Good morning from a wet Torbay. I feel sorry for the holidaymakers here when there is so little good weather of late. I hope it’s better for your trip tomorrow, Mick!

A few weeks ago, I thought my 18 month old television had developed problems as several channels were unavailable or pixelated, despite my attempts at retuning. In discussion with two neighbours in this block, I discovered that they have the same problem. Advice from my local electrical firm was that it is the aerial at fault which is the responsibility of the management company, so, after 10 days in which I’ve emailed them twice (preferable to phoning of which records don’t show!), they have agreed to send an aerial engineer. They are keen to collect the maintenance fees but less keen to spend them!
