Good morning from south Glos where the skies are grey but the wind has dropped.
Another poor night here grhhh, but thankfully a quiet day ahead.
I have ordered my summerhouse and a garden shed so all set to replace the greenhouse. I will empty it this week and probably need a trip to the recycling centre at some point.
I’m looking forward to fitting the shed out so that it’s tidy, and banning DH from going in it. Perhaps a good lock is needed?!
Have a good day everyone 🌹

Good morning from a fairly bright Essex coast.
I've been quite unwell over the weekend so another quiet day indoors today.
DH has an early appointment for a chest xray, he has been coughing for a long time now.
DD1 and SIL are driving to Preston today to bring home the newest member of their family, a tiny adorable puppy. The girls are beyond excited.
Have a great day everyone xx

Good morning all from N Bucks - another sunny start but I “hae ma doots” so I might not be continuing with the jumper washing
Today must be back and bones day as I too am due at the chiropractor this afternoon . Getting fed up with it all if I am honest and I am getting both bored and boring re hips, backs and knees.
As I gave Rosie her breakfast a few minutes ago I thought about how she is going to react to NBM after 9 tonight 😟😟 as she is having a GA tomorrow for a cracked tooth extraction.
Fortunately she knows nothing about that as yet!
Wishing you all a pleasant Monday.

Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.

This morning DH is off to the gym while I do a zoom Carer's session. We also have a man coming to de-moss the garage roof.

This afternoon I am going to the seamstress to get some trousers shortened and also some curtains.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Morning all, the grey sky has returned here in S E Essex. The meds are kicking in so I am taking myself off to the gym first thing for a gentle (ish) stretch class. This afternoon I have an appointment with the back lady or magic hands as I have nicknamed her.

Wishing you all a good day 🙋‍♀️

Good morning everyone from Inverness it’s a bright sunny start to the day but still very windy
What’s the gorgeous birthday cake bellasnana I hope the boys enjoyed their party
It’s the start of a new chapter in my life as the gym I’ve been going to for over 12 years has now permanently closed. I’ll have to find new routine for my mornings, but don’t know what yet!
Have a lovely day out at Stirling Castle marydoll I hope Dollie really enjoys it and the train journey goes well too
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning from the north of Scotland where it is breezy. Breezy is fine after the wild wind and torrential rain at the weekend.
Today I am preparing my seed trays which is very optimistic as I know we will still have frosts. The trays will clutter up the windowsills for now.
That cake looks wonderful Bellasnana.
There is no shortage of castles for Dollie in Scotland. Maybe she can be a castle bagger.
Have the best day you can everyone.

Bonnybanko Mon 08-Apr-24 07:24:55

Good morning all from a dry but windy day here on the east coast of Fife.
I’ve a very busy morning I’m off to the bank and Sainsburys and I’ll be visiting my sister in law in the nursing home, sadly she no longer recognises me due to the dementia which is getting worse, at least she seems to be unaware of her condition but who knows.
I’m having a visit from my neighbours 23 yr old daughter this afternoon she’s going to help with the garden, those weeds are fairly growing, April showers comes to mind.
it was a fab night last night when the sun shone brightly around the back of my house

Have a good day my friends and enjoy as best you can

Good morning from Shropshire.Another day of sunshine and showers forecast🙄

The children went home late morning yesterday. We cleaned the house and got the laundry up to date then both fell asleep in the warm conservatory.

Today I have a physio appointment then we need to do a Sainsbury’s shop.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Greyduster Mon 08-Apr-24 07:19:27

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Dreary this morning and still very breezy. Yesterday DS cooked me a wonderful full English but I couldn’t do it justice - I don’t eat that much these days. We went to the garden centre for some compost and then tried to sort out attaching a hose to the tap on my water butt so that I can run it off into the drain when it gets overfull, instead of having to hump heavy watering cans about, but it was only partially successful. Nothing much planned for today. If the weather stays dry I may go for a bus ride to the Botanical Gardens.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton, showers forecast later.

Wow, what a rugby match yesterday, two fairly evenly matched teams going at it hammer and tongs, but my team, Saints, eventually came out winners 24-14. The quarter-final is on Saturday, and being a season ticket holder, my seat is reserved until lunchtime tomorrow. I shall be online today!

Yoga this morning, then try to get into town this afternoon for a few odds and ends I have been unable to get locally. In particular a birthday present for my oldest friend.

Gammon steak and pineapple for dinner tonight.

May we all have a pleasant day.

Marydoll Mon 08-Apr-24 07:09:44

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 5°C.

Lovely cake, Bella. Funnily enough yesterday DIL1 showed me her ideas for DD's upcoming 40th birthday. It has been a bit awkward as DIL2, a talented cake maker, has also offered.
Bella, I hope you have not caught the boy's lurgy.

We had a lovely afternoon at Dollie's yesterday. DD had got access our Naz box photos and we were reminiscing about holidays when they were all young.
I didn't recognise DH, he was so slim and handsome! 😂

Today we are taking Dollie on a train adventure to Stirling Castle. She is obsessed with princesses and castles
Last week she visited Edinburgh Castle with her parents, it's our turn this week.
Knowing I will never be able the walk up to the castle, DH has suggested a taxi. In the past I would have said I was fine and and struggled, now I will do anything to make life easy!
Dollie thinks her treat is a trip to Sainsbury's and a new comic! Little does she know.
We are bringing ear defenders, she takes after her gran,

Baubles enjoy your time with your sister and Oops, sorry to hear the vertigo is back.

Have a good day folks.

Grandmabatty, I shall give you a wave.

Morning all from a gloomy looking West Oxfordshire.
I was awake in the night with a painful tummy and I feel under the weather now. Things to do though!
Usual Waitrose shop. It is my friend over the road Craft Group after lunch. It is usually a hoot.
OH is having a test drive of a 4-4 this afternoon.
Have a good day.

baubles Mon 08-Apr-24 06:38:15

Good morning from South Lanarkshire where it is dry and still, a relief after the windy weekend.

DD and family flew home on Saturday and eventually had a very busy landing after circling a few times then one aborted landing. I was following the flight on a tracker app and could see the plane being blown off course as it attempted to land.

We popped over to theirs yesterday to return their fish tank which we had been minding and to hear about their holiday. Supermarket shop on the way home.

This afternoon I’m meeting my sister off the London train, she will stay for a few days. I haven’t seen her for two and a half years due to my illness then her husband’s illness. Thankfully he is now well enough to be on his own.

Happy birthday to the boys Bellasnana.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Georgesgran Mon 08-Apr-24 06:35:09

Good morning from a cloudy, but dry Durham. Back into my routine, starting off with coffee with a friend - another may join us, if she remembers!
A bit of food shopping, fill the car with petrol, then an hour or two in the garden - just tidying - nothing too heavy.
Best wishes to all. X

Oopsadaisy1 Mon 08-Apr-24 06:31:03

Good morning from a much calmer Oxfordshire, we are due rain later, according to Alexa between 6pm and 8 pm, we shall see, so far she hasn’t been that reliable!

After my brief housework/laundry foray late last week my vertigo came back so it’s pottering, being careful not to bend over or move my head too much, mostly reading all day, and lots of sleeping, it has really been a pain.

Anyway, MrOops will take dog for a walk, let’s hope it stays fine.
Hope everyone manages to get some stress and pain free hours today. Hopefully the sun will shine, the birds are singing away at the moment, always so lovely to hear.

Bellasnana Mon 08-Apr-24 06:15:50

Good morning from Malta where we have another sunny day in store with a high of 25°C, similar to yesterday which felt very hot.

The boys’ party went off fairly well although neither of them was feeling too good. Poor little chaps. Thanks to all for your god wishes yesterday.🤗

I’m just off to babysit as DD3 is back to work today after the two week Easter break. It’s a long day today and I think I feel a sore throat coming on.

Picture is of the birthday cake which was delicious.

Wishing you all a good start to the week.☀️

Good morning from Torbay where the wind has eased to be replaced by rain at 9.00am!

Yesterday’s combined service was well attended and was rounded off by a group photo being taken to go on the website and in the job specification for our priest's replacement. We had four organists in attendance, including one who moved away on retirement but came back specially. The music was absolutely splendid.

Today I’m having a delivery from Asda as I can’t drive for the foreseeable. Unfortunately, Lidl doesn’t provide the service.
DH is due tomorrow so I’d like to be organised.

I hope today is the start of a good week for everyone. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

grandMattie Mon 08-Apr-24 06:07:38

Good morning from a barely dawning Bristol.
The weather is a little better; other than strong wind, it was fine-ish yesterday. I hope today is the same.
I had a quiet day yesterday. After the service, I had a long chat with a charming student. He’s finishing his degree in film animation, a subject for which Bristol is famous, with its Aardman studios (Wallace and Grommet, etc.). It is refreshing to chat to a youngster.
Nothing much today. I’ll probably go to Waitrose to refill my larder;I have been very circumspect when shopping, trying to figure out how much money I can spend at the moment.
May this new week be kind to you.Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from s somerset. Rain showers are expected later

I am expecting parcels later, no idea at what time yet. I may or may not, get to my craft group.

A good day yesterday, I was never on my own, not my whole life until 2015, then all of a sudden I had to live by myself. My life to then was always busy and hardly ever quiet. Thankfully, I am ok with quiet, my mind keeps me busy, always plotting things for the physical me to do. I had a rest day yesterday

Today I will be needing to keep on top of things here. The sprouting seeds remind me that the wheel is turning.

Have a good day

Pantglas2 Mon 08-Apr-24 06:03:52

Good morning Mick and all who folllow from a dry north Wales where the chamberpot has just been refilled…☕️😂

A very quiet and uninteresting few days passed at PG Towers where a lot of reading, gardening, cooking, eating and sleeping was done (told you it was boring 🥱).

However this week I’m on countdown as we’re off to mi Casa 🌞on Saturday, first time since last September so no doubt the place will need a good bottoming before we settle in for a couple of months!

Some financial admin today and general clear out/tidy up for me - I have a pile of stuff for the charity shop later this week…exciting times eh!😉

Will pop along and read of your doings later - all good I hope 🤞
