Help - recommendations for noise cancelling earbuds

Hi

OH snoring getting worse and I’m feeling particularly exhausted today. Im getting about 1 decent nights sleep a week and that’s usually because I hit total exhaustion.

He wears one of those wire clip things in his nose but over time it has become less effective.

I normally use disposable foam earbuds but they’re not completely cancelling and I’m a very light sleeper.

I recently bought ‘Earloops - quiet’ but really no better and not cheap at £25.

I’ve suggested moving into the spare room ( which actually I do some nights) but he’s not keen on me moving in there.

Any helpful suggestions gratefully received

My husband snores and now sleeps in the guest bedroom, but I can still hear him.
I use cheap in ear sleeping buds, and my phone or iPad with audiobook, or BBC sounds, this ensures a good nights sleep.

I suggest if he doesn’t want separate rooms a nudge with your foot or elbow each time he snores might alert him to see reason.

A dig in the ribs normally puts a stop to Mr A snoring. smile

A bedroom to myself has sorted out my lack of sleep.

I think I must have very sensitive ears because I have tried all sorts of ear plugs and find them very uncomfortable.
My sister’s BinL has been forced by his wife to invest in some sort of tooth guard. This has been very successful and I can find out what it is if you would like me to.
My not very DH refuses to try it. It’s quite expensive but IMO would be worth every penny if it worked..
How my H sleeps through the noise is a mystery to me!

His snoring meant I slept badly for years. He made no attempt to do anything so I left him- slept like a log ever since.

Apparently you can get a ball to attach inside pyjamas to prevent him sleeping on his back.. if he's a back snorer.. and raising pillows might help. But I would sleep in the spare room in your situation as I can't function without decent sleep. Surely he can appreciate that..

Boots sell mouldable wax earplugs in a little grey and blue box I have used them for years.

My DH has always snored. He was always tired and looked dreadful. I slept in the spare room it was so loud. He was eventually diagnosed with sleep apnea and has a CPAP machine. It’s made such a difference, no snoring and he looks and feels much better.

My husband has perfected the art of snoring in any position.
