Harry could make the effort to come to visit his father at any time. It really doesn't have to be at a time suitable for him. They could arrange a date suitable for both parties.

No doubt we'll see him on a Netflix show, looking sad with tears in his eyes.

If Charles really wanted to see Harry he could easily find time for it. Meanwhile it's 'poor Harry'. Just what he needs for Spare 2 the sequel.

I think (but know no more than anyone else on here) that Charles would love to meet Harry's children, too. It's obvious he adores his other grandchildren.

When trust has gone it's a long road back.

How do you know Charles doesn't have unconditional love for H 3nanny? Has he ever been reported as saying he no longer loves him? In fact anything he has said about him is that he loves him.

How do you know whether or not he's forgiven him? It's not easy forgiving someone who accepts no responsibility for their actions, and H's certainly not taken any responsibility that we know of for his, but that doesn't mean his father hasn't forgiven him.

He may or may not have done but this is also a question of trust isn't it, and despite how much Charles loves H, he may never be able to trust him again and so want little contact.

Unconditional love is loving someone in spite of how much they have hurt you but it isn't a 'get out of free jail card' when it comes to how that relationship may be in terms of contact in the future.

I agree with Purplepixie. King Charles should somehow make time for his son. Forget about the press and all arguments Harry should not have to have an appointment to talk with his father that is awful. Prince Harry is travelling to the U.K and Charles surely could take some time out of his day to welcome his son I don.t care what everyone says Harry has done a parent should have unconditional love for their child and be willing to forgive. Prince Harry did not have the perfect role model in Prince Charles there are two sides to every relationship.

The press does have a lot to answer for.

I will say, though, that Meghan was welcomed by the Royal Family, was given thorough training in royal protocol and some of what she has claimed may consist of a few porkie pies. I doubt there has ever been such a rapid turnover of handpicked unhappy staff previously in the Royal Family.

You have the right to your opinion. Re your statement, I find it strange that Harry is encouraging the press to hound his father who is suffering from cancer. Not the action I would expect from someone who sues the press.
I wouldn’t trust Harry not to broadcast his version of any personal information KC might choose to share if they met. Or to share his opinions of KC’s current condition -rather than leaving the King to publish only as much as he himself wants to share.

A lot of people changed their surnames, even Christian ones after WW1 and 11. From German sounding names and Jewish sounding names being the most popular. Nothing strange in that. Yes the RF were German through and through from George 1st right up to George V1th who broke this pattern by marrying Scottish Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon. Sure EdwardV11th married Alexandra of Denmark, but her father was originally a German Prince. Prince Phillips parentage was essentially German. The mould was however properly broken when Charles married Diana and even more so with William marrying the then Catherine Middleton. Other members of the RF have also broken the link with Germany.

The RF are not like the rest of us. However we try to understand them and explain away their imperfections, they are a different species.

I remember reading about the plight of the Russian Tzar's family back in 1917. Tzar Nicholas was first cousin to King George V (they looked very alike)
But yet George refused to offer them asylum. The Russian cousins were all executed.

I think they are like the rest of us in that they wanted to give sanctuary to their cousins, but political intervention prevented them from doing so.
The British people generally disliked the Russian Tsar and particularly disliked his German wife; this was during WW1.

In fact, I doubt many ordinary British people would have been allowed to bring German relatives over here at that time either.

This is funny- as the RF changed their name from their German one to a more British sounding one ie Windsor.

There are all fake and I wonder why people still waste time on them.

I did, at one time have sympathy for Harry, but since he turned himself into a victim (aided and abetted by his wife), not so much.

No doubt there would have been a huge public backlash if they'd been allowed to come. Some turned against friends and neighbours they'd known for years because they weren't British.
