Centenary of Rhapsody in Blue

2024 is the centenary of Rhapsody in Blue. There is a brilliant recording of Bernstein playing the piano and conducting the New York Philarmonic.

Something to cheer the spirits in present time of uncertainty.

It's a wonderful piece of music.

Thank you Dinahmo. This was my father's favourite piece of music and I grew up hearing it often. It really defines the roaring 20's.

This is a particular and mean I girl favourite of our. We saw Andre Oregon play it whilst also conducting the LSO some years ago. We both say there with years streaming. Thank you for pointing out this important anniversary.
