My volunteer Team Leader

I had a lovely male nurse James today, pleasant, chatty, removed my dressings showed them to me and commented how improved my foot was. Bathed it redressed it and ordered me new compression socks talking to me all the time. Then bless him made me a cup of tea asked if there was anything else made sure I was ok and gave me a hug. I haven’t seen anyone else today but this lovely young man will never know how much his visit meant and he took his rubbish with him 🥰

The only person who Ive spoken to face to face is the gas engineer who came to do the annual check. Usually he is here and gone within 15 minutes. Today he began a discussion on religion. He is Moslem and I am agnostic (sort of) so it was an interesting discussion.
