It is a natural product and while it is in the ground it does no harm to anyone. It is when we extract it from the ground and start processing it that it becomes harmful to the environment.
But while I see the logic of those who think it should stay in the ground and be enviromentally harmless, it is clear that they are unaware that it is used for anything other than transport fuel.
