How wonderful!

Our local park had a Jubilee facelift and Shire horses were used to plough a huge area and then to spread wild flower seeds.

The last few weeks the flowers have shot up and there is a glorious show.

Absolutely adorable! I love Shire horses and goats too, using nature in this way makes so much sense.

My Dad used to drive a horse plough in his early years. We’ve a greatly treasured photo. I love shires, gentle giants. You’ve reminded me to do a search to see if there are any competitions within travelling distance. An enjoyable day out.

Lovely pictures. As a child I remember going to see the Cart Horse Parade in Regents Park on Easter Monday. I believe this now takes place at the South of England Show Ground at Ardingly in West Sussex.

Shire horses are magnificent. Much more eco-friendly than petrol mowers.
