I have donated many pairs of jeans and trousers to the charity shop because the zip will just not stay up.
I recently bought a beautiful pair of summer capri pants and same old problem, it was too late to return them!
So I googled the problem……the answer is hairspray, close the zip before wearing, spray the zip and allow 5 minutes.
It works!
I wish I had known this years ago.

Thanks for the tip Sago. I have a pair of jeans that does this so now I know what to do smile.

Is it easy to 'unzip' when you're in a hurry? 😉

Good tip, thanks. I thought it was my fat tummy (probably is) but ordinary trousers don't do it, just jeans.

Is this for zips with plastic or metal teeth?

Actually I've never had this problem although I'm have a very fat, round tummy. My problem at the moment is knickers which keep rolling down over said tummy and end up in a thick rope of rolled cotton jersey clinging around my nether régions . Even the newer ones with stronger elastic. confused
