Mascara not sealed!

If not encased in plastic but in a box, surely tg6e box should have at least a sticker type seal.

I would comment that with AVON you can return it for exchange or refund within 30 days should you be unhappy. Even if it’s been used. It’s their guarantee.

Have bought Lancôme and Benefit mascaras in the last three months, neither were sealed just in boxes.

I had the opposite problem a couple of years ago, my usual Max Factor mascara bought from Superdrug that was so tightly sealed I had to scrape every bit of the tight cellophane off with a knife. It left the mascara looking so scruffy, with half the lettering gone and a layer of stickiness all over it that I couldn't get rid of. I complained to Superdrug, who claimed it was the manufacturer's packaging, but as they gave me a full refund and I've never had this problem elsewhere I somehow doubt it.

A lot of mascaras aren't sealed & haven't been for years...

My new Lancome one wasn't sealed in that sense but it came from the drawer underneath and had not been on display. Hopefully all these extra bits of plastic and wrapping will disappear.

I bought one other day it had a paper sticker on it but anything that doesn’t have a seal won’t be going near my eyes incase it’s being tested on someone else eyes

I don't think that Avon mascaras are sealed as they are boxed .
It should be OK .

I find that some products aren't that great .

I haven’t bought a mascara since last year, but I think they’ve normally been sealed.

As it’s from Avon (mail order) and not been sitting on a shop shelf I imagine it’s fine and it’s just how they pack things.
I wouldn’t buy cosmetics from an open shop shelf if it didn’t have that anti-tamper seal.

It is a general practice with all mascaras laterly. I bought Bobbi Brown and it was not in a plastic wrap as well, just box. All companies are trying to remove plastic as much as possible from packaging so I would regard it as a really good move from the brand.

I don't think my Clinique mascara was sealed, it was just in a box which wasn't sealed either.

I bought two mascara from Sainsbury's 18 months ago for my daughter - one black and one brown.
Both had been opened and "tried".

Be careful with cosmetics- especially near the eyes. I hope it looks perfect inside.

Do you mean that there was no plastic strip around the two parts you pull apart, e.g. The wand and the mascara tube? It could be the companies way of cutting back on their plastic, which a lot of firms are trying to do.
