Thank you for replying Aggie. I did see a physiotherapist yesterday who was very helpful. I am just so fed up with the length of time this is taking to heal-seven weeks so far. I will try the Ibuleve on it today and see how I get on. It seems to be a slow process

My interest in the election has been monumentally absent and so I had completely forgotten about. But not surprised to learn that the mistakes will now be made by a different party.
I lost both the posts I wrote yesterday so I hope my fingers behave today.
Sorry to hear about 'the backs' today - so debilitating. Hope they clear up soon.
Yesterday was tai chi here, and then I came home to hang out a towel wash - which dried! Apart from that, nothing except tennis - the tributes and that long standing ovation for Andy Murray were very moving.
I've nothing else to say really today - all is quiet on the home front. DGD2 in Lincoln is going for an interview for her first job today 🤞. DGD3 is on an 8-day stint of shifts at the Hydro and elated by the thought of her pay cheque. If she carries that work ethic through life she should do well in whatever she decides to do after uni. DGD1 is doing very little but will hopefully wake up to reality soon. And New Man's DS2 is 18 tomorrow. And I have a house waiting to be cleaned so off I must trot. Thinking of you all and wishing all well x

I have school/pre school pick up of The Imp and the 9 yr old, they will be here till about 9-9.30pm, so it will be picky bits as soon as they walk through the door to tide them over till dinner. They have chosen a Chinese takeaway, so that will be ordered for delivery at 7pm.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it is warmer than yesterday according to the weatherman.
I can't match Stilllearning's stamina but I had the radio on through the night.
A change in my constituency though it used always to be Labour when there were coal mines and papermaking.

I hope you see your son today Madeleine and your backache improves.

I'm due to work on a later shift today which means I can nap this morning.

Hopefully everyone has something to celebrate today.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a currently sunny Carlisle.
I am frazzled after a poor night's sleep, I seem to be fighting off some infection or other. I took advantage of that to dip in and out of the election results as they came in which helped to pass the time and cheer me up. The whole county is now red except for one yellow patch.
Yesterday we had a prolonged period of blue sky so I went out in the garden after lunch to do more planting. The skies darkened as I wound up and shortly after I came in we had a torrential downpour, so well-timed me!
Today I'll take it easy chore-wise and catch up with admin and meal planning for my visitors next weekend. The trick is to order in more food but not risk having a lot of stuff left that I don't eat myself.

I hope the bad backs soon improve, they sound pretty painful.

I can’t match stilllearning’s stamina but I did stay up till the wee, small hours! DD outlasted me but I’m hoping she got some sleep or she won’t be worth a button today.

We’re on the move in a few hours as the last couple of nights of our holiday will be spent in Co Donegal.

A wet morning means an indoor oldies’ coffee morning and then later on our choir is singing so will need to plan around that. Looks blustery as well as wet ut at least I will be spared watering this evening. Summer has definitely gone missing.

Good morning from a grey Suffolk after a lovely sunny day yesterday.

Gone are the days of us staying up all night to watch the results as they come in. We went to bed after the exit poll was announced and discussed and it was accurate. We are in a new constituency and we have a Green MP….not surprising as our local town has been festooned with Green Party stickers and not anything else from any other party.

A quiet day ahead which will include a dog walk on the local Common and coffee and cake in the cafe there.

Good morning Michael and all GNs from a grey South Yorkshire. I had a shocking day yesterday laid up with a bad back! Perfectly fine when I got up, getting ready to go walking. An hour later I could hardly move. I managed to get some sleep last night but I’m still not very mobile so it looks like another day in for me. DD will come round later.

Wet and dreary here in Essex, so I will pick up DGD and take her to school. They’re supposed to be having sports day , but suspect it will be cancelled. It’s either boiling hot or rainy!

Good morning from a dry, sunny, but very windy Durham.
I’m meeting a friend for coffee this morning. She’s having a family crisis, a repeat of the same many years ago - she’s bouncing mad and trying to sort things out before her holidays.
Later, I’ll take Little Dog and DD2’s laundry back and do something with her and DGS2. As her DH isn’t well and can’t help, she’s quite limited in what she can do safely with a lunatic 3 year old! She is awaiting a repair to her wheelchair - it’s been without a working brake for months, but the time slot given is 9-4, so she’s stuck until they’ve been.
Hoping the weekend stays fine for our holiday makers.

Good morning everyone from a rather damp and overcast Northampton. Showers forecast for the rest of the day.

The plumber came punctually yesterday morning, and replaced the cistern in the bathroom loo - now awaiting his bill with some trepidation... But it needed doing.
Finished hoovering upstairs, must do the actual stairs next, waiting for the battery to recharge.

Dance classes this morning, then nothing else planned the rest of the day.
Need to get my turkey curry out of the freezer, and that's dinner sorted for tonight.

I’ve a busy day ahead as I’m off To the seaside where there’s a lovely caravan park.

I’m getting jimmy my carer to mow the lawn today, then he’s taking me to see my sister in law who’s in a nursing home with dementia we’re going into the caravan park for a nice lunch afterwards.
Then it’ll be home to mourn the election results 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿but never fear my friends we will survive, what goes around comes around and I’m still very hopeful 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿try, try and try again as the history lesson says

Good morning from a sunny but still very windy NE.
I am off on holiday today but I have had problems deciding on what to take as the forecast is poor. I don't normally take my hiking waterproofs on a summer holiday, a light jacket used to suffice.
DIL and GD1 will leave in one car and arrive at the destination in time for a shopping delivery at 5pm. DS and I will collect GD2 from school at 4pm and then start the journey, going to be a long day.

I'm not the sharpest tool in the toolbox first thing and couldn't work out what Stilllearning was talking about. 🤣
I fell into bed last night, exhausted after a full on day with Babydoll. All she wanted to do was, Walk, walk, walk! She walked like a drunken sailor and my heart was permantly in my mouth, as she explored the house.

Busy day ahead. I need to stay in for my injection delivery. I try to avoid a Friday delivery, but had no choice. I will try and catch up with some housework.
The wrong size mattress will hopefully be picked up today. You will understand why I cannot trust MrMD to deal with it, so I need to be in.
I won't bore you with his latest disaster, except that as he struggled to put up the pram at Silverburn, he somehow managed to break off the hood. 😔 DIL's face was a picture when I handed her the hood last night. It needs a new part!

As we passed Zara, I noticed the sale was on. Leaving DH to people watch, I went in, saw the most beautiful cardigan in the sale and compensated myself for the stress of the last few days. 🤭 I deserve it. 😉

On returning home from dropping off Babydoll there was a message asking me to call the surgery. I wonder what that is about. I'm intrigued. I wonder if it is something to do with the bloods I had taken. I will be very surprised if my GP is actually going to do something about my deteriorating lung conditions.

I'm off to take some painkillers and catch up with all the political changes.
