Seagulls attacking.

Yes I live on the coast the seagulls are vicious this time of year because they are feeding the young.
Just seen this morning a youngster 5/6 year old scratched along his head as the seagull swooped and stole his ham sandwich,mthe child was very upset, lots of visitors at the minute all eating outside...a virtual feast for the gulls!

I know someone who was out running along by the canal in Edinburgh when he was attacked by a seagull, completely out of the blue. He got such a fright that he stumbled and almost fell into the canal!

One of my dogs - unfortunately MISS VERY NERVOUS AT THE BEST Of TIMES was attacked by Canada Goose , who sat on her head and pecked at her eyes .

Poor dog was absolutely terrified .

I was shocked - never
seen that before nor since .

I haven't seen seagulls do this but a family of magpies cornered and killed a collared dove in our garden. The sound of their raucous squawks was blood curdling. It's not a nice memory.

Perfectly normal if you live near their territory, we get a few here, although we’re about 6 miles inland, they hang around the local tip.

Over 20 years ago, when my DD was still small we were mobbed by two seagulls every time we went into the back garden. They had a nest on our roof. I think it was around this time of year.
My DD was terrified and the cats nearly had a nervous breakdown. It really was like a scene from "The Birds".
They screamed and dived but I don't think they ever actually
touched us. So I am not sure if this is anything new.

Yes all the time if you live on the coast. The are usually more aggressive at this time of year because they have young.
