I had the results of my blood test and I am delighted to have got my cholesterol down to 4 from 5.75 by changing my diet. I was determined not to go onto statins.
My blood pressure was 120/60. I put that down to lifting weights 4 times a week and losing 14 lbs!
Not bad for 77! I love my life!

My resident house martins have fledged this morning, I’ve been watching them swooping about the garden, a joyous sight.

do you know where they have nested? We had just one baby (and mother) about a month ago. Mum had nested underneath the shed. The Dads seem absent

These are in the eaves of my house, I can see the nest from the garden. The father is there too, I think there are 5 babies but it’s hard to tell.

I bought a lovely pink lavender yesterday from the Gardeners Fair 🌸
I've signed up for a new Sewing class later in the year ✂️

Lovely to see such a positive post ..

Yes forums need positive threads as well as all the myriad of other ones, the thought provoking, the amusing , the serious and the chatty ones.
In case any poster hadn’t noticed tho, there are two similar threads daily, the Good Morning one and Soops Kitchen.😃
Today is a good drying day here so sheets and towels all out on the rotary dryer and coffee drunk watching bees buzzing in the flowers.🐝🐝

My new mobility scooter is arriving tomorrow afternoon.
I am so excited, and will be able to get out and about more.

Greyduster, congratulations, well done, and I'm sure you did get a pat on the back 👏

Cossy a friend has two mini daxies and often posts hilarious videos of them on her fb page, they are so funny and cute! Love yours too. We have a border terrier who thinks he's very scary but he's actually a poppet!
I've got tickets for all the dressage at the Paris Olympics but have had some health problems this year and was worried about getting health insurance, however, all booked this morning at a sensible price. Just three weeks to wait and I'm very excited!

Washing is blowing in the gentle breeze and the sun is out. Happy day!

I went for a swim this morning - 30 lengths of a 22.5 metre pool. So happy that I'm in a position to be able to go there and that I can swim that far. Initially I was done after 4 lengths. When I think of my Mum's health at 72 - terrible rheumatoid arthritis - I count my blessings every day. I love this thread. There is almost always something to be positive about.

I did my longest solo drive since DH died - only 48 miles, on country roads, so chicken feed to some, I know, but I was rather pleased with myself! I could almost feel him giving me a pat on the back when I got home!

Well done! flowers 👏👏

Henetha- I will push you somewhere- maybe not as far as Land’s End to John O’Groats- but perhaps we could set our sites a bit smaller!

Our DS (never just mine, always late DH's too) came to stay the night on election night, DiL flying to visit her parents.
DD coming in a couple of weeks for a long weekend.
GS1 coming to stay for 2 weeks in August for some work experience.
GS2 joining him for the last few days before they fly to join their parents on a week's holiday.
Nothing special really, but much appreciated.
