Lovely to see such a positive post ..

Yes forums need positive threads as well as all the myriad of other ones, the thought provoking, the amusing , the serious and the chatty ones.
In case any poster hadn’t noticed tho, there are two similar threads daily, the Good Morning one and Soops Kitchen.😃
Today is a good drying day here so sheets and towels all out on the rotary dryer and coffee drunk watching bees buzzing in the flowers.🐝🐝

My resident house martins have fledged this morning, I’ve been watching them swooping about the garden, a joyous sight.

do you know where they have nested? We had just one baby (and mother) about a month ago. Mum had nested underneath the shed. The Dads seem absent

These are in the eaves of my house, I can see the nest from the garden. The father is there too, I think there are 5 babies but it’s hard to tell.

awww smile maybe mine just decided to be a single mum

I had the results of my blood test and I am delighted to have got my cholesterol down to 4 from 5.75 by changing my diet. I was determined not to go onto statins.
My blood pressure was 120/60. I put that down to lifting weights 4 times a week and losing 14 lbs!
Not bad for 77! I love my life!

I am 82 years old with hardly any health problems, have a comfortable life and a family who love me, if my dear husband was still alive my life would be perfect, but apart from that I am truly blessed.

I am so pleased that some wild sea carrot I planted last summer has flowered this year in my garden. It has a lovely huge white flower with a pink dot in the middle which is supposed to be the bit to attract insects. So uplifting.

That’s really great Pythagorus I’m trying a similar thing but doubt it will be successful.Cholesterol is very hard to control.
Are you using Benecol non dairy spread? I’m nearly a vegetarian 😄 and have a non dairy diet.

Am currently lay on a sunbed whilst cruising the Greek island. The sun is out and I'm sipping a cocktail. A far cry from my usual day of cleaning, washing, ironing and doing the school run for our grandchildren. 🙂

A lovely concert last night at my grandson's primary school- choir, percussion, violins, ukuleles, solo performances on trumpet and piano, rock band....
A huge debt of gratitude owed to men and women teaching and encouraging children to enjoy and make music.

I watched my youngest GS play football last week. Cold, damp weather but lovely to see them all running around enjoying the game. I was glad to see two girls on his team and one on the other team too.

Pythagorus Tue 09-Jul-24 12:49:04

Oreo - I drink a Benecol pot every day.
I cut out processed food, no biscuits, cake, crisps and all that junk.
Eat real food and cook it myself. I do have some low fat dairy, eggs, chicken and fish. Pulses, oats, fruit and veg. Exercise is key. It’s possible to lower your cholestrol through diet.

NotSpaghetti Tue 09-Jul-24 14:12:07

Isn't Benecol processed?

Yogurt (85%) (Skimmed Milk, Yogurt Cultures), Water, Plant Stanol Ester (Plant Stanols 3%), Lemon Juice, Stabiliser (Pectin), Sweetener (Sucralose), Vitamin B1*.

Mollygo Tue 09-Jul-24 14:57:29

Yes Benecol is a highly processed food.
I liked it, -the idea of something good in a little pot appealed, but then I was told to avoid sucralose, when I had gut problems.
