I have a cousin. She is 10 or 12 years younger than me. Both her parents are dead. A long time ago she got married and went to live in Scotland. I don't know her married name, and I have had no contact with her for at least half a century.

I have been going through stuff that was in storage, and I have found 3 DVDs that I had converted from old film tapes a long time ago. (I have the tapes too)
Now one of those is my family, I am on it as a baby.
The other 2 are labelled India and Singapore. These must be about my aunt and uncle, who were there at the end on the war. The only person left who might want these is Monique.
Can anyone suggest how I can find where she is now?

Have you tried Facebook or Twitter and typed in her first name and maiden name, you never know, she may be keeping touch with someone on there.

I once was looking for some old school friends on Facebook and found them, but they were under their married name so I went through all their first names and recognised some of the photos they had posted of when they were young. It took time but we started communicating and it was lovely.

Did she marry in England or Wales? If so, search Free BMB for her marriage and you should be able to find her married name. The ScotlandsPeople website can be used to find whether she has remarried or died and also if she appears on Scottish electoral rolls but you do have to pay to view records which may be relevant and they won’t be bang up to date.

Apologies for the typo.
