Anyone seen *Katya*?

After I stopped laughing, I was just drafting a polite and comradely request to Katya for a borrow of her tank (to sort out the parking problems in this road. I was happy to supply my own ammunition). When I was ready to post, * Katya* had vanished. Disappeared. Gone.
Does anybody know where she is now? I do hope that she and her tank have not been requisitioned for anything ... erm, ..unpleasant if you know what I mean.

If you're reading this, Katya, there's always a welcoming cauldron of wodka-laced borscht on the hob at Scribbles Towers. You can park the tank outside number 88 cos that will really annoy them. 👹

Oh, do you think the OP was a disgruntled Gransnetter, annsixty?

If she wasn't before, she probably is now!

Oh why do I always miss the fun!

Has anyone worked out who Katya was in her previous GN life?
It might explain why she feels she is hated by some.

Some people must have a very juvenile sense of humour...

Surely that’s a matter of opinion?

It is. And that's mine.

Siope

It was funny. Not malicious, not spiteful, a bit of a laugh on a miserable grey day. I have no idea why anyone would object to it.

Why anyone would think it was funny when the Russians have just bombed a Children's Hospital in Ukraine and little cancer patients were being dug out of the rubble is beyond me.

I expect it was a troll.

I don’t know why it was deleted - not offensive many found it amusing.

Like a lot of threads based on humour it would have naturally run its course. There are only so many times you can laugh at a joke but we’re clearly not mature enough in some people’s eyes to decide for ourselves - simply because they disapprove.

Why not just leave people alone and find a different thread to moan about?

LucyAnna2 Tue 09-Jul-24 17:29:18

I’m always fascinated by people’s different sense of humour. Sometimes, on GN and elsewhere, people say something like “Oh, that’s hilarious, I have tears rolling down my face”, whereas for me it might raise a wry smile. I enjoy humour and think (know) I have a good sense of humour, but clearly we all find different things amusing.

What a good idea Merlotgran why didn’t I think of that

I'm with BlueBelle. Maybe if people stopped feeding the obvious troll, it would get fed up and crawl back to wherever it came from...

NotSpaghetti Tue 09-Jul-24 16:22:21

She went to McDonald's® -

And then home.
