I must have missed Urm's post, where can I find it please?

kittylester Mon 15-Jul-24 07:07:37

Good morning all from a brightish North Leicestershire- I seem to be posting the same thing every morning. I think we have rain in the forecast- yet again.

Today, DH is off to the gym first thing and this afternoon I have session 4 of our latest Carer Learning course.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a sunny, warm South Yorkshire. We look to have a better week of weather ahead so perhaps it will kick start some of my plants. Yesterday I had a surprise “brunch” visit from DD and the menfolk. The talk was all of the itinerary for their upcoming trip to Canada. GS does not understand the concept of pacing oneself and if left to him, his poor parents will be on their knees before the first week is out! I was dizzy with it all when they’d gone!
I have a small shopping trip to do this morning and then the rest of the day will be spent gardening and washing the car.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from overcast South Lanarkshire. It feels slightly muggy which isn’t pleasant.

I hope you start to feel better soon Grandmabatty, childcare is challenging when we’re under par.

Pretty flowerbeds gM.

My strength and balance class is this morning, at the moment I don’t feel I have either so I really need to push myself.

DH and I are having afternoon tea at our local hotel, using up a voucher I’ve had for months. Yesterday while dog walking I discovered that house builders have removed some fencing which opens up a shortcut so we will walk round if the rain stays off.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning from a dull hillside in south Glos, rain forecast for today 🙄
The dog and I had a lovely day together, a peaceful early walk, some pottering in the garden and her later walk with a friend.
I assume dh’s kayaking went ok despite SiL and BiL waiting for him in a completely different car park 🙄 He was somewhat monosyllabic 🤷🏼‍♀️
Today a wet dog walk I suspect! Never mind, the garden needs the rain. I have ironing to do and I can always find something to keep me busy!
Hugs to you who need one 🌹

Good morning everyone from an autumnal Northampton; a light must cloaking everything, just like a September morning. Dry this morning but rain forecast this afternoon.

Yoga at 9.30, so will be out nice and early, taking it easy the rest of the day - it was a struggle to get out of bed this morning, I could have done with another couple of hours. Will probably just sit and read.

Cut the back grass yesterday afternoon, then gave the patio table and chairs a good clean. Also put weedkiller on the dratted patio weeds, which re-appear with annoying frequency.

DD was ecstatic after the Kylie concert on Saturday night - in her words - " I felt 6 years old again, roller-skating up and down our driveway in Australia, listening to Kylie's album on my Walkman on repeat! "

Have a lovely time in Helsinki, LLFL , it's a beautiful city; make sure you do the harbour boat trip!

Have a good day everyone.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from sunny Malta where it is very hot.🥵

So sorry to hear you are feeling poorly Grandmabatty, it’s not easy taking care of the little ones when you are feeling rough. Hope you will feel better. 💐

grandMattie your flowers look so pretty. Wish I had your green fingers, although the weather here makes it quite difficult to grow anything. No rain to speak of and relentless sun. Cacti seem to be the only things I don’t kill!😄

Had a surprise visit from the boys yesterday when I was still lounging in bed. Littlest had woken up asking for me (I had put him to bed so he expected me to be there).

They spent a couple of happy hours destroying my house and playing in the yard. A bubble machine was a great hit!

I managed to shower and make myself presentable so when they left I went to Mass and then came home for my FaceTime call.

Afternoon watching the tennis which made me very happy! It seems it was Spain’s day for sport yesterday. Commiserations to the football fans, I confess I didn’t watch it.

Urms and her beloved H are never far from my thoughts as they navigate the difficult journey many of us have taken before.💐

Wishing you all the best day possible.☀️

Good morning from s somerset, dark skies and heavy rain all day from 7am. Properly autumnal, at least the fungi will be good this year

I am expecting parcel collection again today, the last one and am going to be cutting for a complicated coat. 17 main pieces of fabric plus lining, it was massively difficult to trace the pattern from multi-coloured spaghetti on a printed sheet. I have put this off since last november but will keep me very occupied on a dreary day

I have already picked my veg for lunch and the blueberries for freezing and noticed that michaelmas daisies are budding and bees are all over the sedum flowers as though there is no tomorrow

Might get to craft group today, depends on parcel and weather

Have a good day

Lovely flowers GrandMattie. Nice and bright

Grandmabatty Mon 15-Jul-24 05:58:58

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 12° and sunny. Ladyleftfieldlover have a lovely time. I have been awake since two and I feel quite unwell. Very nauseous. That will make childcare interesting! Have a good day all.

grandMattie Mon 15-Jul-24 05:58:58

Prayers and thoughts for you all today (and every day), Urms. 🫂

Good morning from Bristol. It’s barely sunny and we are promised dire weather from mid morning.
Photos of my porch ports and the section of flower bed reclaimed from the vast Choisya. Both looking colourful.
When trying to refill the marmalade trolley in church, I realised there was none left, so the afternoon was spent making some. I still have to label them before taking them to church. They seem to be pretty popular.
I managed to do a bit of my quilt as well as visit my upstairs neighbour. My other friend here has been much preoccupied and busy with her son visiting from Aus.
Supermarket this morning and nothing much this pm. Got a busy week ahead though.
May the week bring only kindness and peace.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Morning all from a warm West Oxfordshire.

I am off to Helsinki with my daughter today. The taxi will arrive at 10 am to drive me to Oxford to get the airport bus. I will meet my daughter in terminal 3. I have checked the weather and it looks like Finland is a bit warmer than here.

Have a good day everyone. I hope all went well yesterday for Urms and himself.

Ashcombe Mon 15-Jul-24 05:48:00

Good morning from a dreary looking, breezy Torbay.

There was quite a good turn out for the Wind in the Willows auditions yesterday but more will take place next weekend so no information on who has a part yet.

Hope all are as well as possible and that you have a good week. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩
