We can now get food and small household items delivered to our door by small drones. Never thought this would happen but it is available where we live. I’m not sure about this, visions of how drones could be used in other negative ways !

I find it shocking.
I'm only just getting used to mobile phones being a "thing", though.

I find it all really unsettling.

Mankind has always moved forward. Many new inventions seemed shocking at the time. (I still don't understand how planes stay up in the sky). But we get used to things in time, don't we.
I feel slightly dubious about drones, but no doubt they will play a big part in our lives, already are in some ways, - some good, some bad.

If we all had big drones, we'd be zooming around like the Jetsons. smile

I'm sure you remember 'Tomorrow's World'.
It all seemed so unbelievable at that time, but I'd imagine the far fetched ideas old hat these days.

I very much enjoyed Tomorrow's World and wish they would bring it back.
I remember thinking that satnav would never get off the ground. It seemed ridiculous. Look at it now!

I used to really like it, too.
It was family viewing. smile

In theory I think it sounds a great idea, better than a big van for a small item. I'm another tomorrow's world fan. Mobile phones never surprised me, probably because I was a Star Trek fan. I'm still waiting for the equivalent of a "transporter" however. I'd like to be able to "beam things up".

I used to like theme tune of Tomorrow's World.

It's stuck in my head now....
