The settings on my phone inexplicably changed recently and when I sent a text this morning saying 'Primark have got quilted gilets in already' it turned into 'Primary have got quilted giblets in already', which left my friend a bit confused about whether I was at the butchers or looking at clothes.

Yes predictive text didn’t like Topsy - gave me topsoil and Turvey was Turkey 🤣 topsoil turkey

I turned off predictive text on my laptop and phone it was driving me mad.

Topsy turvey in my house meant something was upside down, round the wrong way eg you had your vest back to front, wrong way round, you could have a picture hanging upside down, all topsy turvey.

Topsy turvy meant things were in a muddle when I was growing up and I would still use the words to mean that.

We certainly used the expression "topsy-turvey" in my childhood, about untidy rooms, cats or dogs lying with their paws and tummies up waiting to be tickled etc.

Knowing my parents, neither would have approved of "arsy-versy" which means more or less the same thing. I doubt my mother even knew the expression.

Topsy Turvy is also a Mike Leigh film about Gilbert and Sullivan

Predictive text has a sense of humour - it turned 'topsy turvey" .......topsy turvy! And gave Bea 'topsoil' and 'turkey' instead. Good to know that technology can make us laugh!

Sickly does not mean the same as bilious
A “sickly child” is one prone to (often minor) illnesses, like a baby who is not thriving.
“Bilious” is what in the US is described as “nauseous” affected by or associated with nausea or vomiting.
You feel sick not “sickly”

It is a topsy-turvy world we live in and no wonder people feel seedy my mum's expression for feeling things were not right.

Absolutely. Another phrase I've heard a few times lately is The World's Gone Mad. I think many of us feel like that.
