... Oh, and he also believes The Devil is real.
And this man once called Trump an idiot!
Angela Rayner is a scrounger, grifter and shameless hypocrite.
J.D.Vance causes a stir with this comment resurfacing.
My DD is childfree as they call it now and perfectly happy (without cats).
Wouldn’t have missed out on children myself but what are your thoughts?
Love my cat and it’s an insult to them…
... Oh, and he also believes The Devil is real.

Vance's autobiography does show he had a pretty rough start family support wise, and he might be forgiven for being very pro his version of an idealised family - until he turns it into political POV and legislation.
The problem is he closely defines what a family might be, and its a very anti woman stance on the whole, defining what roles a woman should have, few rights for a woman to have control over her own body, against equal ops legislation for women and minorities, and back to the 50's type POV.
"Vance is staunchly opposed to abortion, and has suggested that it is wrong even in cases of rape and incest.
He has compared the evil of abortion to that of slavery, and opposed the Ohio ballot measure ensuring the right to abortion in 2023.
He also was one of only 28 members of Congress who opposed a new HIPAA rule that would limit law enforcement’s access to women’s medical records.
He has promoted Viktor Orban’s pro-natalist policies in Hungary, which offer paybacks to married couples that scale up along with the number of children (a new Hungarian Constitution that banned gay marriage went into effect in 2012, so these benefits only serve “traditional” couples).
Vance opposes same-sex marriage During his 2022 Senate campaign, he suggested the sexual revolution had made divorce too easy (people nowadays “shift spouses like they change their underwear”), arguing that people in unhappy marriages, and maybe even those in violent ones, should stay together for their children*

Summing up then - for women - tough if you are raped or are the victim of an incestuous assault, you have no right to a termination. If your husband beats you up - equally tough, you stay in that marriage (unless he kills you, obviously) because it's best for the children. And law enforcement can have the information they want about your medical history.
Gilead, here we come!

Oh, thank you, Labradora
That's made my day,
biglouis
People who have bred children need to remember that they are living upon the grace (eg taxes paid by) those who are child free.
At the moment of their conception it is extremely unlikely that the parents were actually thinking of the children, but rather of their own pleasure.
So in a very real sense the childfree are paying for others to f**k and have fun.
And if you biglouis, need extensive care in your dotage, it will be other people’s children who will look after you ‘bred’ by us selfish, hedonistic souls, hell bent on sensual pleasures, as you infer.
I think in their position, I might leave you to your own devices.

I was going to say I'd be as happy as Larry if I had a cat, but I'm wondering if Larry isn't as happy as he was, as presumably The Starmer Mog has now taken up residence
Oh, don't underestimate Larry the Cat. Sir Keir's moggy is the "New Kid On The Block" and Larry will make sure they know it......🤪🤪🤪
J.D. Vance: Stay out of other people's bedrooms.

Let him keep insulting people, more and more groups of folks will turn against him and he will become a liability
-> Like! <-

I'm quite happy that Vance(like Shapp he changes name regularly) is making such awful statements. It will contribute to the demise of Trump. Even some republicans have said they would vote for Harris to ensure Trump doesn't get in

Thank you , Dickens . Yes, that's what our children do, mostly, grow up and
contribute. Hardly a burden!
😊
I did suggest adopting a pair of rescue kittens I saw on FB at the rescue centre.
However, DH said he'd leave home if I did.
MissAdventure
I'm miserable and I haven't even got a cat.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
But you're very successful to have achieved the misery without the cat.!!!!!
Not everyone can do it!
I've been very miserable at various times in my now relatively long life.
None of it had anything to do with cats rather I'm sure that I caused most of it.....
(No offence, Tongue I hope obviously in cheek. I hope that you are not miserable and if you are I'm sure you didn't cause it).
Kind Regards

Every cat I have had over years have exuded more charm than Vance. I am a mother of four which will, presumably, confuse JDV.
I wonder if exuded is quite the word you want- too kind by far.
How about “extruded” ? 🤣🤣🤣
Exuded or extruded, You got it girl.......🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sorry, not saying you are miserable but they are scary creatures.
MissAdventure
I'm miserable and I haven't even got a cat.
You'd be even more miserable if you did have one 🐱
Sorry, I will upset all the cat lovers, didn't mean it.
Oh MissAdventure I hope that you feel less miserable soon. Maybe the rise of The Childless Cat Women group would cheer you?
I'd be all sweetness and light if I had one
(Black or black and white, preferably)
I wouldn't be at all miserable if I had a cat, supreme beings imo, why else would the ancient Egyptians have treated them as gods
I'm miserable and I haven't even got a cat.
I have two children and three grandchildren and have actually lost count of the number of cats I have had. I wonder what that makes me?
We, my OH and me, were discussing Vance's comment.
After a little thought, he said "you know that cats are pretty independent creatures and it's quite difficult to get them to do what you want them to do sometimes, I wonder if there's a correlation in his mind?"
I think Vance is not a very nice person at all. And - to those who are appalled at any comparisons with politicians, whoever they are, and Hitler - it should be remembered that he once said that he thought Trump could be America's Hitler. I think there will be more 'unfiltered' observations from this individual in due course. Particularly as the race gathers speed...

My two children grew up to be hard working and contributing quite a lot in taxes etc.
And now my grandchildren too.
As, I suspect, do the majority of children and grandchildren of those on here henetha. You are justly proud.
