Feeling adrift

No they don't sound patronising at all. Cooking has kind of got boring it's true, because I never know who will be in or when! I do quite a few things online but sit too much. On the other hand I can't be that active either! I miss gardening really.

Crafts e.g. sewing, card making etc.
Online gaming e.g. remote Scrabble, chess
Take a qualification
On line book group

As you are thinking of moving, organise all your photos and decide what you would like to take and what to leave behind.

Buy a new cookery book with dishes you have never tried before.

Just a few ideas, sorry if any of them sound too obvious or patronising.

Just looking for some tips on how to adjust to having nothing to do. So we're pensioners now. OH is still fairly active and I'm not. Plus he's actually working part time. We're in the unusual situation of having a grandchild living with us (almost an adult now) - he does his own thing a lot.

As the post says, I feel a bit adrift. Both my own parents died in the past four years - prior to that I was chasing around looking after everyone - ageing parents, child. Now I'm not really needed in that way. I keep occupied with fairly sedentary things, but can't do gardening any more due to mobility issues.

I want to move - we're thinking about it - so at least the location is slightly better, but I'm imagining that and thinking - once moved I'd be in the same situation. I just feel a bit stuck at home.

I don't feel old yet but not very fit either. I suppose socially we lost our way a bit since the pandemic. But nothing sort of appeals particularly. Any tips?
