I’m thinking of my brother as a teen, with his air rifle….

Local facebook group a company advertising using their drones to scatter people’s ashes. I’m horrified and have complained but they are still advertising.

Relative did get into trouble, it was a legal firearm of some kind. It caused quite a stir but stopped the drone being allowed to continue with the intrusive flying.

Shooting in a rural area is routine nobody takes any notice, in an urban area the police would on your doorstep very quickly, they take firearms VERY seriously.

Estate Agents in my area (Wales) have been including aerial photos in the their marketing of houses lately - this would explain it!

Just seen on BBC Look East, that Norfolk Police are using drones in a bid to reach remote areas quickly.

Policemen are getting smaller and smaller these days ...

Some drone must have been flying over my house taking photos as a chap called round recently with an aerial photograph to see if I wanted to buy. I said I didn't but he was incredibly persistent which bothered me as I live alone. After he'd gone I was quite worried not just because it took a while to get rid of him but also because he probably sussed I lived alone and did not like the idea of someone surveying the house, outbuildings and access.

You really do need to take this matter up with your local MPs.

In Denmark, we did so some time ago, and it is now illegal to fly drones over property that you do not yourself own. It is an invasion of privacy. Both private individuals and companies are prohibited by these laws.

The only exception is drones conveying medicines etc. from hospitals to the ambulance service, pharmacies, or patients' private addresses.

Similar laws exist in the UK, they cannot cause a nuisance. Catching and prosecuting a perpetrator isn't easy.

My neighbour used his drone to spot vandals damaging the photoelectric cells on top of the car park opposite.

Drones near airports an absolute menace and a potential catastrophe doesn't bear thinking about. A short while back some idiot was operating one near Gatwick, the airport was practically closed down for hours.

I live in a flat and one side is overlooked so I use blinds, but at the back there are no houses in sight. I knew that there would be a very good reason for pulling over my sheer curtains when we are away!

Only this morning my neighbour showed me photos of his chimney stack, which needs repairing, and he was unsure of the extent of the damage. A contractor who was cleaning out his gutters used his drone to identify the damage and emailed him the photos! They can be very useful.

I watched a video of a drone used to lure a dog stranded on mud flats to safety, by dangling a cooked sausage in front of it

Someone told me that in Rwanda a new company started up. I think it was called Zipline or something like that. They use drones to deliver blood and have been able to save a lot of lives. This is an example of the technology being used for good.

I think a 12 bore shotgun would sort most drones out but don’t go shooting a drone that is surveying your neighbours property, that would be a very expensive mistake.

I was at my local memorial park yesterday enjoying (what was I thought to be a peaceful hour) I like to sit there as it looks over towards Pendle Hill a place where my mum loved.

I had heard a buzzing noise but was enjoying my Solaro Ice cream lolly too much (tropical flavour) to take much notice.

Then spotted this chap sat in a deck chair on the open playing field. I then realised it was him! with a drone messing about with it they do make quite a buzz.

A few times it did go over some youngsters playing with a ball.

I know for fact you are not supposed to fly over people.

So my peace was shattered.

They are very intrusive in the wrong environment. They have many many uses in the" correct legal" hands, but like anything else in the wrong hands !!

We had caravans that parked illegally on the village football pitch this week and whilst they were there, before being told to leave by the council, drones were seen hovering over residential areas. The police advised carefully locking up and not leaving anything nickable on view. Are they not illegal without a licence? They should be.

I see them quite often. I give them a 👋
Living in Southend we often have police helicopters ( we all know how violent it is here 😉) flying over, I give them a 👋 as well, just to brighten their day.
