Good morning from an overcast South Downs. The sun is forecast to burn off the cloud by 9 and then another hot day, although it is forecast to be back to normal temperatures next week. Good thing too as I find it too hot to do anything but sit around.
Happy birthday lulu enjoy your day.
Need to take some rubbish to the tip today, but nothing planned, we are still trying to potter over to Petworth for the day, but I think it will still be too hot for DH with his heart. Apparently hearts have to work harder in the heat to keep your body coo, so anything over 37 must be a particular strain I would have thought. Not that it is 37 here!!
I might pot up some seedling white foxgloves to be planted alongside cow parsley for the late spring next year, not sure they are quite big enough just yet. Also have forget me nots ready to pot on (for Duncan given by the vet) they are going to be planted under pink tulips. His own special bed has primroses and white daffodils as he died in April. Our little westie Thomas died in February 2009 and he has snowdrops and cyclamen Coum.
Yesterday we had a dove amongst the pigeons pottering around the garden. They pop up every so often, then I don’t see them again for a while. They must have an away day from their Cote!
My son and wife are in Paris today for a week I think - the athletics, so I shall soon be sent lots of photos no doubt.
Have a good cool day all.
Hope the insomniacs have a better night tonight. I sleep as nature delivered me with every single window wide open, and just a cotton sheet. Our bedroom does face north so doesn’t get any sun, so it is reasonably cooler than the rest of the house.
Peace and harmony.
