Glad you are now home baubles hope you and MrBaubles can recover together now
Angela Rayner is a scrounger, grifter and shameless hypocrite.
Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry but ;looking grey at the moment here in brackley this morning.
After terrible day health wise yesterday , will do my usual bus trip to Bicester with small shop hopefully see some I know.
return to watch Olympics cycling wise on TV.
Take Care,
Mick
Glad you are now home baubles hope you and MrBaubles can recover together now
Morning from my bit of South Lanarkshire, dull, rainy and very windy. It must be August.
Chair yoga this morning then lunch with one of my neighbours who attends too.
Library first to see if the copy of our latest book club read has arrived, probably going to have to resort to Amazon.
I hope you have a much better day today Mick and that everyone has a pleasant one.
Glad you’re home baubles
Good morning from a miserable wet Dunblane. A day at home I think with plenty of things like ironing and some cleaning to keep me busy.! How exciting🤣. DH will get restless though, the curling season hasn’t started yet. Glad you are home Baubles and are on the mend. Early night for you Marydoll. Make the most you can of the day everyone.
Gingster
I think my acer is dying WWM2. It’s a fairly large one and has been beautiful but is now looking tired and dull.
We have one at our front door Gingster. Last year it looked spindly, tired and very sad. I didn’t have great hopes for it to be honest. It’s been in this blue pot for 20 years. And wow! With no extra TLC it has come back to life this year. It put me in mind of Himself last summer then this summer. Strange don’t you think? Here’s a pic.
Good morning from Durham where it’s grey, still and forecast to reach 25 degrees later.
Lunch with family yesterday at a local (to them) pub. Food was great, but the service was dreadful. A good walk there and back - DGS1 on his scooter.
Off for coffee with two friends this morning, then to the Sky shop to sign up to an offer.
Best wishes to all. X
What rotten luck, Baubles, hope you both feel better soon. A grey start to the day so an indoor morning I think. My helpful gardener will be here later so must decide what I want him to do - two hours isn’t long in grass cutting season but he is keeping things under control and I value him greatly now that I am reduced to ladylike fiddling rather than proper gardening.
For 'blazing' read '*blitzing*'! Autocorrect!!
Good morning all from a "who knows?" Sort of day on the Angus coast. According to the weather app, which is usually accurate for us here, it's not supposed to rain until late afternoon, but the sky seems to be saying otherwise!
Sorry you had a bad day yesterday Mick. You too Llfl. Hope you both feel better today.
In a strange sort of way I'm actually enjoying getting my house in order for the 'visitation' of baby great-grandson and his entourage next weekend. I suppose, when I look back, that's the way I always was - preferring a big blitz and major furniture shift to mere dusting and hoovering. Oh well, it takes all sorts I suppose! And of course I have a reason for all the activity, which is rather nice 😉
So off I must go for another day of blazing. Have a good day everyone, and enjoy Babydoll Marydoll, and make sure Mr Doll does all the chasing!
So glad you are home now without surgery Baubles !
Take it easy if you can. The timing wasn't good with DH's recovery but you will just have to look after eachother.
So glad that you are now home, Baubles. You had us all worried. x
Good morning from very wet South Lanarkshire.
I’m easing my way back into the daily routine after spending six days in hospital having suffered a herniated bowel. Thankfully it was remedied without the need for surgery.
It was the worst timing coming less than a week after DH’s knee replacement surgery but he has managed amazingly well.
I’m going back to read everyone’s news now
Have the best day possible.
Good morning Mick and everyone from grey, breezy and cool Carlisle. The sun keeps trying to poke out through the thick clouds.
I do hope you are recovered today Mick and enjoy your trip out.
A quiet day for me yesterday as I was below par. As my acid tum was in recovery, it was plain eating and no raiding the wine cellar! Sad, as I do like to treat myself on a Sunday though why it should be a Sunday I don't know, all days are the same when you're retired.
I did get out for a walk which felt good though I wasn't keen on the cool wind, very unseasonable.
I remember steamrollers Ashcombe. I used to love watching them and wonder where they've all gone, rusting away somewhere? And the smell of tar too, I would take a deep breath and fill my lungs with it.
I'm putting off housework day here! Though it will be interrupted by a trip out to freegle my oldish vacuum cleaner. I stopped using it when I moved into a house, it's too heavy to lug up and down stairs.
Have the best possible day everyone.
Good morning Mick and all from a brightening northwest coast.
Nice coach day trip yesterday but my back is paying for it. A long day and lovely to have a trip on the Severn Steam train.
A full coach and I sat at the back next to the window. A woman next to me blathered incoherently on the trip home when I wanted to look at our lovely countryside…
I found two books in Bewdley by Francis Brett Young, a favourite author whose books are based on the area.
Quiet day today.
Hope you feel better now Mick, thoughts to Gingster and her DD and all with worries 🌺
Good morning all from a really bright start to the day here on the east coast of Fife. My ring doorbell shows me it’s been raining last night the weather forecast says it’s to be dull today with a temperature of up to 72 degrees but hey ho it’ll be what it’ll be.
So sorry to hear of your bad health day Michael I hope today is much better for you, enjoy watching the tv - take it easy.
I watched an old black and white version of Pride and Prejudice yesterday I love mr Darcey he’s such a handsome man. 💖
Have a good day my friends
Good morning from a cloudy NE after overnight rain. The forecast is for 23 degrees today.
DD has been at the proms all weekend and I got a message from her just as I was sitting down to dinner, would I please record it from BBC4. I was watching/listening to Mahler's 5th symphony with the Halle orchestra on iplayer and had to turn it off to set the recorder 🤨
Can't decide on what to do today, I could do with washing bedding and table linen but will not want to iron if it is going to be warm.
Have a good day.
A sunny Suffolk good morning. We are expecting our boiler service man at 8.30. He has been a very reliable and helpful one for many years now but he always arrives early. So we must have our porridge now, throw a few clothes on and greet the day.
We plan a beach walk later, hopefully it won’t be as crowded as it would have been over the weekend.
Hope today is a sunny one for all….I haven’t read the posts yet so hope the rest of us are having the lovely morning here in the East.
Good morning all from a dull Black country I think rain predicted for later.
Mick hope you feel better today.
A quiet day today unless DH has plans will see when he awakes.
Enjoy your day with babydoll Mary.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating and virtual hugs where needed ☀️.
Good morning all from the Isle of Skye where there are huge puddles. The 10 min walk from the accommodation block to breakfast could be interesting 🤔 wet
So far I've met some very nice fellow Gaelic students and enjoyed a wine and cheese evening.
I will celebrate my 91st birthday gMattie if I make it - though no balloons.
I believe every year is precious. You made me giggle.
Marydoll you have been overdoing things again. Enjoy your time with baby doll.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Good morning from a sunny W Kent.
The cleaner should arrive later and I need to tidy around before and during her visit. Later we really must have a walk as the weekend was lazy watching the Olympics. DD1 sent lovely pictures of a family gathering for her SIL in Scotland they look as though they have a clan of their own.
Hope you are better today Mick.
Best wishes
Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s pleasantly warm enough at 17°C just no sunshine. Alexa tells me it will be 24°C later. Nice.
My stepfather needs to go to his bank this morning. We will pick him up and then go for coffee. He too likes an opportunity for people watching! After we take him home we will pop in to say ‘hi and bye, see you in Málaga on Friday!’ to the grandchildren.
As we are eating in tonight I plan a salad. 😁
I think my acer is dying WWM2. It’s a fairly large one and has been beautiful but is now looking tired and dull.
Good morning and it’s another warm, sunny day here in Essex.
Not much on today, so after going to the fields with little pooch, I’ll tackle the housework. Haven’t done much as it’s been too hot and humid.
Hope you feel better today Mick.
Marydoll sorry you had another bad night. Babydoll will keep you ‘on your toes’ but try to rest up when she has a nap. 👶🏼. They are busy bees at that age.
Glammagran that was so annoying with the tennis 😡.
I hope peace is restored soon in our beautiful country 🙏
For acre read acer😄
Good morning from a dull South Downs, although sun all day is forecast. Cooler at 21c though. Quite pleasant.
I’m managing to waste a lot of time lately watching the olympics. I always find myself watching and getting excited over sports that I never think about. The rowing always gets me jumping up and down, and of course this week the athletics.
I must pot up a small acre today that I’ve been nurturing since it was a twig. It will go in the little Japanese garden. I also have a miniature Japanese Cherry to pot up. But first the struggles to get the dead pot bound rhododendron out of the pot.
Might have a barbecue tonight - I have some spare ribs to marinate. . First is housework day.. Hate housework day. but it keeps me active.
mike hope you are feeling better today.
llfl isn’t this the swarming season? Your DH will have to be on his guard!
Enjoy your day all
Peace and harmony for our poor country, and of course our world.
Good morning to you all.
I watched an hour and a half of the very long first set of the men’s tennis final in Paris yesterday. Just as the tiebreak was about to commence to end the set, transmission was abruptly halted for a shooting contest. I was absolutely furious.
I agree with GM that you certainly do have very nice feet Urms - your shade of nail varnish is very similar to the one I have. However I have unsightly bunions probably as a result of tottering around in heels throughout my 20’s so I won’t be posting a pic of mine. 😂
I really must tackle some housework today. Have a good day everyone.
