Hello kitchen people.
What a lovely red dress!
Well, I’m not quite lying down in a darkened room with a stiff drink… I cooked a roast chicken with all the trimmings - substituting Yorkshire puddings for bread sauce - with rhubarb crumble or chocolate peppermint ice cream for pudding.
After my granddaughter encouraged us to take part in a drawing competition (we had to copy and colour one of the many pictures in my house) which elder son judged, they packed up and drove back to Kew. My granddaughter is so looking forward to seeing her bedroom again for the first time in a fortnight.
I’ve already put on a couple of loads of washing and put the chicken carcass in the stock pot to made stock.
Have a good evening. The cupboard is practically bare so I must work on a shopping list ready for tomorrow.
Found out today, can't take it in
