I have just bought myself a L'Oreal Age Perfect Day cream SPF 30 but find it too heavy. Can anyone please recommend a light to very light day cream with SPF30 that I could try? I am happy with bargain to fairly pricey if the cream texture is right? Many thanks.

I use Boots no 7- don't find it heavy at all but we all differ.

I put a blob of Nivea on the back of my hand and massage it before putting it on my face otherwise it's difficult to apply .
I let it settle before putting on some make up .
In the summer : I brush on some bronzing powder with a big brush .
I use sunblock too after the Nivea .

A make up artist taught me a lot of tricks . She said that it's always technique rather than costly products .
The back of the hand method is also useful for getting the excess off brushes when applying blusher .
Always let your make up "calm " down before going out .
I tissue off any excess .

I’m also a Boots no 7 fan. I do buy others especially when on offer.
Why not try the Simple range? They do
Protect 'N' Glow Triple Protect Moisturiser SPF 30
Says its light with no residue. I’m currently using Simple face wash and cleanser.

I use Ambre Solaire Facial Sunscreen Lotion - SPS 50. It's sold as a sunscreen, but I use it simply as a day lotion. The bottle is small (40ml) but I use only a small amount for a daily application. (Be warned - it's quite a "runny" liquid and in my experience a little goes a long way!) I've always managed to purchase this at a good price, online. It says its ingredients include: hyaluronic acid and vitamin E – help prevent hyperpigmentation. Then in the evening I use a "richer" moisturiser.

P.S. It's by Garnier!
