Good morning from Sardinia. It is our last day here today. It has been a very busy but interesting holiday with lots of trips out and sampling lots of interesting food. I will try and post a picture of dinner last night! The weather has also been interesting a rather mixed bag.

I haven’t had much of an opportunity to post or read messages over the last week but sending good wishes to all. I am sad so many seem to be feeling poorly 💐

Good morning all from a dark Glasgow, where it is 8°C.

Happy birthday, Nannyjan, 🎉🎊🥂

I have coughed all night and feel quite unwell, so will just wish you all the best of days.

Good morning from Durham. Barely dawn here, but it’s dry. Plans for today have completely changed, as DD2 has put DGS2 into Nursery - thought I’d be looking after him.
It gives me a day to wield a mop and duster Pant - like you, I’ve been home nearly two weeks and done ‘nowt’. However, coffee with a friend first, then blitz the house, hit Tesco and finish by walking DD2’s Little Dog before dark - huge skeins of geese flew over us last night, what a noise.
Birthday greetings to those celebrating and commiserations to those not feeling too well.
Best wishes to all. X

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Still dark in South Yorkshire and it’s going to be a damp day. Yesterday’s walking group was well attended and enjoyable. Went to DDs after and she helped me to finally sort out my NHS app which I couldn’t get to download properly, and to order a shirt from Next as none of our local stores had it in stock. I took advantage of the sunshine and did some work in the garden in the afternoon. Volunteering at school this afternoon.
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning from Skiathos , where it is 8.15am and it is raining!

Forecast is for this today and tomorrow when on Sunday is hopefully back to clear sunny skies!

My 71st birthday today, so out for a special Greek meal in a Taverna. Part of my present from MrJ is a card with details of a theatre trip and overnight stay in a hotel. He has written in the card Happy 73rd birthday shock

Enjoy your Friday everyone

Good morning from s somerset, very heavy rain this afternoon

I did a bit of easy pottering in the garden yesterday after being out on my bike. All the weekly washing was done and dusted yesterday, it was nice to have it properly dry outside in the wind and then put away.

I was a bit tired yesterday from pm, knew I would be after my marathon heavy lifting a few days ago. I relaxed with a sock to knit and have ended up with an aching thumb joint, remembering the number of times I wore hand splints in bed, all to do with too much knitting. Doh, I love knitting as much as sewing but am going to have to restrict my knitting time. Thankfully sewing does not give me any aches

A walk into town this morning, perhaps they will have local allotment veg, perhaps not. I am wanting a squash or two and some milk. Not a lot, I don`t need a lot but it is nice to chat with people and have a browse

Have a good day

Good morning everyone we are packed and dressed, ready to leave in 20 minutes to meet our coach to Ibiza airport. It’s absolutely pouring down with rain here!

Bellasnana Fri 20-Sept-24 06:09:27

Good morning from Malta where it has rained overnight and more showers are forecast for the morning. It’s 25°C.

This morning I’m meeting a friend for coffee and she is bringing another friend along so it will be nice to meet her.
I may need my umbrella if the forecast is to be believed.

Had a quiet day yesterday getting laundry done and getting used to being on my own again after my friend’s departure.

I have a hair appointment this afternoon and I think I’m having littlest later as DD3 likes to take his brother off for some individual attention since littlest is such a dominant force!

Forgot to post the flamingoes we saw at the bird park so will try now.

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Good morning Mick from a very 💨 North Wales, methinks the last of the summer 🌞 has gone 🙁 I’ll settle for dry from here onwards!

Belated birthday greetings to yesterday’s pensioner Grandmabatty and welcome to our club 🥂

A sprucing of PG Towers is required as we’ve been home ten days and although we’ve been busying finding a home for Spanish chattels not a duster or mophas been lifted in anger or delight!

Loving the holiday pics and safe journeys for those returning to Blighty x

Bonnybanko Fri 20-Sept-24 05:59:49

Good morning all from the east coast of Fife where it’s dry and cloudy
I’ve still got the lurgy 5 days on from returning home from my holiday in Sicily thankfully taking paracetamols every 4 hrs help. I’ll leave it a few more days before I speak to a health professional.

Take care out there there’s so much to take care from. X

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire. It’s still very dark but looks still and dry outside.

My friend and I sat out in my garden chatting for several hours yesterday, it was so good to see her.

Childcare day today so an early start. I’m just having my first coffee while I try to wake up properly. The last few nights have been marred by awful dreams, I haven’t had a lot of restful sleep between that and my cough which is getting a bit better thankfully. I’ll stop morning now! grin

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning from Bristol. I’m washing some towels in the hope of missing the forecast rain…
It must be lovely to hear again, Mick, and I hope your legs will be better soon.
Although annoyed at having to pay my bus fare (only £2), I got to a different Specsavers. It was such a change from the town centre one. Reception was friendly, no waiting, charming young people looked after me, the optician actually listened to me…. She has referred me for my second cataract and told me that, although my eyes have changed, it would be a waste of money to get new glasses before the cataract operation. All in all a really pleasant experience.
I was very taken aback when sitting down for one of the many checks, I heard “Hola Mattie, Que tal?” My Spanish teacher! I shall see him today; the new term starts.
Have a good start to your weekend. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Posted too soon: happy weekend, everyone! 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning Mick and all to follow from Shropshire.A dull day forecast.

Yesterday went as well as it could for my mum’s birthday but the decline in her is very obvious now with each visit so even though mum enjoyed the time with us DD and I felt very sad.

DD had tickets to see a comedian last night. Her childcare let her down at 3pm so the children came back with me for a sleepover. This is the first ever school night sleepover and tonight is another first when H stays on his own for the first time.I haven't slept well so it’s going to be a long day😴

I hope Grandmabatty had a lovely birthday.

My thoughts to all with worries and sadness.

Have the best you can everyone🦩

Good morning from a fine, dry Torbay, expected to be windy later.

It’s good that you are out walking each day, Mick, even if you need to go more slowly. I hope your GP soon sees you regarding your left ear.

This morning I’m having a Zoom call with my best friend from schooldays who was widowed at Easter. We’ve known each other for 63 years!

Tonight there is a social evening at the Little Theatre bar which I hope to attend. The offer of half priced drinks should attract more than a few!!

Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but its dry here in brackley this morning.
My usual routine today using the bus to Bicester ,and also visit the local Fish & Chip shop.
Health wise have been suffering with my legs but able to walk at a easy pace .
Yesterdays earwax removal , the person is going to contact my GP as there seems to be a slight problem with left ear despite wax removal seems better since I been using the Sodium Bicarbonate removal ear wax as to previous use of olive oil .
Take Care,
Mick
