Where are you, JaneJudge?

We’ve had some rain last night and a little today, but no storms (yet) outer SW London.
Until yesterday it was still Indian summer weather - even the wind was warm. But cooler today - still very mild though.

Plenty of stormy weather south of London, lots of rain, but still warm out there, was quite hot in the sun yesterday but the weather was heavy and I got a migraine, usually do when a storm is brewing.

Some rain, our usual wind, here in lovely Lincs.

Just rain here in Berkshire. Nothing dramatic. We did have a thunderstorm a couple of days ago.

Central Scotland and no storms. We had a lovely week of sunshine and now it's dull but quite calm

Awful here in Birmingham. A terrible thunderstorm and torrential rain yesterday.

Yes, we’ve got it here in the East Midlands. It was actually scary yesterday afternoon and last night. I’ve had a day in today knitting. 🧶

We’re at friends, apparently at home 17 miles up the road in south Glos it’s been largely dry 🤷🏼‍♀️

It’s been bucketing down all day here in north Wiltshire, it’s just beginning to brighten up and there’s some patches of blue sky.
Yet more forecast for tomorrow.

Deluges of rain and occasional flashes of lightning yesterday, more heavy rain today.
Branches and a tree down along the road.
(Gloucestershire)

We had to go out this afternoon but in the opposite direction from fallen branches and tree.

Apparently there was a tornado over Tewkesbury on Friday.

We've had 12hrs of heavy rain overnight in outer London but todays been warm with one very short shower ans sunny intervals no thunder or lightening but the rain woke me 2/3times last night.

We havent had any bad weather so far. The past week ive been gardening in t- shirt and lightweight trousers. Folk still out and about wearing shorts (not me!). Live 2miles inland from east coast.

we've had a couple of days of very heavy rain and thunderstorms here on the South Coast.. no hailstones though

JaneJudge Sun 22-Sept-24 16:30:31

2 hours inland from the East coast. Is it seriously like summer?
The rain and thundering and lightening has started againconfused My poor dog is hiding upstairs

BlueBelle Sun 22-Sept-24 16:27:41

No not here, we ve still got late summer weather on the east coast it’s lovely and sunny and warm spent the morning on the allotment
Whereabouts are you JJ ?

JaneJudge Sun 22-Sept-24 16:20:51

They started yesterday afternoon and have continued. I have honestly not seen so much lightning in my whole life. The sky is pink. We have had hailstones like gob stoppers, crackling lightning almost constantly through the night, rain drops like golf balls. The thunder vibrates so much it is setting off car alarms. It has flooded main roads and feels almost apocalyptic (I must stop watching all those trending films on netflix!)

I'm sorry if there has been another thread about this....I did look
