Good Morning Sunday 28th September 2024

Good morning from N Bucks where it is fair, but grey and chilly.
I packed up my summer things into travel bags ready to go into the loft and was taken aback at just how many pairs of white jeans and linen trousers I seem to possess.
And in three different sizes!
I binge watched “Ludwig” until late last night so have no plans for anything strenuous today!

Good morning everyone from a gloriously sunny Málaga. Not even a whisper of a breeze and we are set for 31°C later.

We are going out for lunch, passing through the lobby and out into the Big Wide World. Well, as far as Juan’s anyway! Meeting our neighbours who hail from Glasgow and who keep an eye on our place when we are not here.

It’s a public holiday today so it will be rammed with happy holidaying locals so our friends have booked a table for 2pm.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 6° and very cloudy. I expect rain will fall. Yesterday I had a quietly productive day. Lots of housework, washing, bed stripping etc. I visited dd and the boys for a piece of her fabulous chocolate brownie. I made mince in the slow cooker and had it with mash for dinner. I have turned it into a cottage pie for tonight and have three more lots in the freezer.
Today I'm making lentil soup in the slow cooker. I'll make Eve's pudding too. Apart from that, a little ironing and I'll do a bit of weeding. I might go to the garden centre for compost and finish planting bulbs. Have a good day all.

We’ve got a few shelves full of stuff in the garage like that redcar bit by bit I’m getting through it when DH isn’t around 🤫

Quiet day but will be on cooking duties as hubby helping son number three with refitting his kitchen. Hoping no accidents and all goes well.🤞day to myself and work tomorrow so will keep quietly busy.

Fairly busy day yesterday, most of the holiday washing done. Video call with Mum, chat with DD.

Just finished a kettle ball workout. There are videos on You Tube to follow. Bought the Kettle Balls for £3 from a charity shop. Thought it maybe cheaper than joining a gym!

No real plans today, as have a busy week coming up. May contact my friend who lives nearby to see if she fancies a walk if the weather stays dry.

Bellasnana I chuckled at 27 deg being cooler. It was that temp last week on holiday in Skiathos, and that was more than hot enough for me!

Good morning from the bottom bunk in my granddaughter's bedroom in a village in Cornwall. No idea what the weather's doing. The house is still asleep but dreckly my daughter-in-law will be taking my grandson to play a football match and my son will be on a train to London where tomorrow he's giving a presentation on building safety measures learnt from Grenfell Towers. That leaves my granddaughter who will do puzzles while I sew her brother's latest Beavers badges on his uniform. We may watch Hey Duggee. 😁 Later I'll get a bus home from just up the lane. A sweet day.

I’ll get DD2’s laundry on the line outside. DGS2 had a lovely time here yesterday afternoon.

I’m going to watch DGS1’s swimming lesson this morning, then take him and his parents out for a late breakfast.

Hopefully meet a friend for hot chocolate later.

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s sunny here but only 4 degrees outside.
I had a fairly busy day yesterday, changed the bedclothes, washed them and got them dry outside. I went for a walk, then continued tidying the garden and filling the garden waste bin. Then I sorted out some very old stuff that was in the garage but hadn’t been used in years, some went straight into the bin, but some stuff will go to the tip this week. There’s a lot more to sort out, but I have to pace myself and I can’t reach the stuff on high shelves. Also moved the dust around in the dining room!
Will continue the garage clearing today. I’m going to DD2’s for dinner this evening, she’s cooking a roast dinner. It’s a while since I’ve had a roast!
I hope Sunday is kind to us all.

Good morning from Malta where it’s a cooler 27°C today.

Yesterday was a scorcher but I got a lot done, plus walked the long way round to the shops. I was a sweaty mess by the time I got home. ‘Mad dogs and Englishmen’ sprung to mind!

Mass this morning followed by a chat with my friend who has now recovered from the nasty virus she had. I think it was the same one that the boys had.

There’s tennis to watch from China so that will keep me amused.

Good morning from s somerset, the sky is very red and pretty but ominous, the wind is getting up again today and bad rainy weather is coming later

Lovely day out yesterday but I changed clothes three times, my house is warm but it is cool out away from the sun. I have the last summer to winter turnaround to do later, sandals to shoes, boots and sheepskin slippers. Raynauds is always lurking

I finished the last of my hand stitching last night, while watching the prime of miss Jean Brodie. I am hoping that more of the Maggie Smith films come on you-tube. I could do with a nice film today, while knitting

I may/may not go out for a walk today, I can hear spots of rain falling

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

We enjoyed elder son and his family on their short visit. They told us they will be going on a road trip through France and Switzerland for Christmas. I was getting a bit anxious as my two sons still aren’t speaking.

Church this morning while OH (if he can get up in time) visits a local car boot sale. He wants to sell his honey (more jars are being delivered tomorrow) and will give the car boot place a recce.

We had our Sunday lunch yesterday so I’m not sure what we’re having today.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A lovely sunrise this morning. I hope we are set for a dry day today; DD is running a half marathon in the Peak District and the terrain is rather unforgiving. I had a rather snotty letter from the council yesterday to say someone had reported that the hedge that runs adjacent to my boundary wall is blocking the pavement. It isn’t, and I go to a great deal of expense to make sure it doesn’t. So I sent them a snotty email back. Watch this space! Oddly enough I had a weird dream last night where one of my neighbours set his dog on me (all my neighbours are lovely) and I ended up taking refuge on a hospital staircase. No real plans for today. I might drive down to the local pub and have a Sunday lunch and then immerse myself in a book.

Good morning from N Surrey where I think it has just rained..again, but looks like the sun is coming up. For the first time for ages I slept right through the night till 6.00. In fact when I looked at the clock I thought it must be 12.30 from the hands. But 6.00 is amazing. Now I must think what was different. I was very tired and I left the heating on overnight low as the evening was chilly. Whatever it was it was great to have 8 hours sleep even if for just one night. I wish you all a good Sunday...I think its the 29th Mick.

Good morning from a dry Bristol (for the moment). The sky is becoming pink on the eastern horizon.
I did a lot yesterday for some reason - laundry, dust rearranging, floor washing, a visit to the library, making cranberry marmalade.
In the late afternoon, I suddenly felt very unwell again, nothing specific. I’m blaming that RSV vaccine from last week. I hope the covid one week won’t have the same effect.
An empty again today, apart from church.
I hope those is distress have some relief.

Morning Mick, morning All, it’s dark and dry out there at the moment. Heavy rain due by lunch time, oh dear.

Enjoyed wandering shops yesterday, the sun shone, not too busy - didn’t buy a thing, just gathered ideas. Fast asleep by 9 last night, just woken up. Having joined me for an early night Mr C is still fast asleep, that man could sleep for the world.

I think that was sensible yesterday mick, we all need recovery time now and again.

No idea what today will bring here, a wait and see day which is fine.

We had a lovely day yesterday celebrating H with family, friends and his new classmates.

This morning we will go to mum’s house to sort out the fridge, collect more clothes and also get the phone numbers for the gardener, cleaner and hairdresser.DD2 and family will spend the morning with mum.We will meet them for lunch then we will spend the afternoon with mum.

My thoughts are very much with everyone dealing with illness, worries and struggles💐

Good morning, it’s cold, dark and dry here in south Glos, it was a lovely day yesterday but rain’s forecast for the afternoon here today.
After an early dog walk I got the washing finished, it dried beautifully on the line and spent several hours in my summerhouse doing some embroidery. DH put up a little shelf with shaker pegs underneath, it looks good.
I also had a happy hour putting away the art materials I’d taken to Somerset and tidying the room I do my craft bits in.
Today I will get the ironing done first thing while DH is walking the dog, I think we’ll have pork chops for lunch, new potatoes and vegetables. I might make a crumble too.
I had really weird dreams last night, a recurring one where I’m stuck on a high rocky crag surrounded by water - I hate heights- and it’s miles away from where I need to be. It’s quite panic-inducing 😵‍💫 probably all due to my O2 levels dropping badly at night 🤷🏼‍♀️
Never mind, the actual likelihood of that happening in real time is zero!
