Good morning everyone from Severnside. I pulled back the bedroom curtains early as I’ve been seeing some beautiful sunrises posted on SM.
Had a lovely time yesterday doing crafting and some gardening before my friend came.

Has your DH got a model railway set up in one or both of your homes Ash. I do like to look at them. That was what my DH planned to do when he retired.

I’ll do the weekly shop, some washing and hopefully tidy my craft room today.

Wishing you all a good day 💐🌤️

Good morning from a chilly hillside in south Glos, there’s frost on the summerhouse room and it’s 4° according to my phone. Hopefully a lovely sunny day ahead.
I enjoyed my trip to the hairdresser, it’s lovely catching up with her and it was a pleasant drive across the top of the hill and down into the valley.
Three loads of washing dried nicely, just the towels to do today, I will get the ironing done later.
Art group was fun as usual, lots of nattering, tea and biscuits.
I spent an hour doing some slow stitching when I got back while listening to an audiobook.
Today I will go with the flow, dog walker will take her out first thing, DH is apparently going off to buy some more walking boots somewhere (he says he’s going away next week with his sister and BIL , didn’t think to let me know and I’m not invited. Nice 🤷🏼‍♀️) His behaviour really can be very hurtful and strange.
Anyway, I will plan some nice things for me, the dog and I will enjoy our walks across the fields and the house will stay tidy!
Sending you hugs grandMattie, I do so feel for you x
Have a lovely day everyone 🌹

Good morning from Durham - it’s grey, still, but again no rain is forecast.
I’m pleased to report yesterday’s dental appointment went well and I need no work, other than a script for more antibiotics.
Sis-in-law still here, but I’m not sure what we’re doing today - I suspect more shopping!!
I hope you get some advice today Mick.
Best wishes to all. X

Good morning all from a dark Glasgow, where itis 10 °C.Despite it still being dark, DH is out already, how on earth can he see on the golf course.

We had the most delicious Indian meal for our anniversary lunch yesterday. It cost a fraction of what we would gave paid in town.
The rest of the afternoon was spent making Eve's pudding and apple and pear crumbles from the fruit in our garden and my daughter's.
Unfortunately, later I was very sick, due to the constant coughing, so an early night it was.

A visit to the supermarket is required, then I will need to attend to some parish admin.

You sound very low, GM.💐
Here's hoping your grandchild feels better this morning GG and I hope you have girded your loins,*Baubles*.
Safe journey, Bella and enjoy your trip, My DD and SIL love visiting Krakow.

Have a good day folks.

Good morning and it’s looking fairly bright here in Essex.

Had a lovely day with my old school pals yesterday, in the Stratford Olympic Park, mainly sitting, eating and chatting. We discussed where to go next year for our 75ths. A few options.

Today I have an opticians appointment and then we’re off to see our Friday friends.

GM you sound very ‘down’ and it isn’t surprising! It will take time but I’m sure things will get sorted , hopefully sooner than you think. Keep positive and busy.🙏

I hope your little man feels better this morning GG.

Take care all 🌻🙏

Good morning from Shropshire.A sunny day forecast.

Thank you for your caring thoughts re mum yesterday. She was very traumatised by being moved through the hospital late at night and being in another new environment with strangers. She was very tired and confused when we saw her.But what a difference in the ward and staff.A new ward with individual rooms and lovely caring and compassionate staff.

I have a hairdressers appointment this morning. This evening we are meant to be going to the evening wedding celebration of my friends daughter. We hope to go but its another long drive and I am exhausted.I hate to accept an invitation to an event and then not go but will have to see how I feel.I fainted on Wednesday when the podiatrist was here🙈so need to look after myself I think.

I am glad you are going to speak to someone about your health Mick and am sorry for the very understandable stress you are under grandMattie.

I am hoping Grandmabatty and Mary are feeling better today.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning all from a murky North Leicestershire.

Shopping for me today. So a visit to the butcher's, egg farm, M&S and Waitrose. I have also admitted defeat with Mount Everest so a visit to the nice ironing ladies will happen.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from s somerset, another lovely sunny day today

I pottered all day yesterday, I think that means I did whatever I wanted, starting with a walk. My new warm colourful top will be finished today and I will start wearing it tomorrow.

I put a stretcher inside some boots that I have never worn, only done one foot so far and it seems to have worked. I should be able to wear them soon and will carry on breaking them in by wearing inside the house. They are leather with warm lining so are malleable. It seems that very cold weather is on its way

Time to charge up my big makita batteries and take the candles out of storage. I lit one candle yesterday and it raised my room temperature by one degree as well as the original purpose of giving cheerful light

I am hoping to carry on the body-training of going to bed later and waking later, so far so good. Otherwise the time change is a shock to my system.

Today will be more of the same, I am enjoying my calm and mindful week

Have a good day

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where I am sitting in bed watching the beginnings of a spectacular sunrise. I think we shall have a dry but cloudy day. Yesterday’s woodland walk was very pleasant - sweet chestnuts were thick on the ground but too small yet to be worth collecting. This morning I must disperse some of the rainwater that has collected from the overflowing water butt and empty as much as I can from the butt itself - more rain is expected next week. School volunteer session this afternoon and then I will do a food shop. The cupboard is bare! DS is coming down tomorrow and will require feeding.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning all from another dry day in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 where I’m smiling because my little 🚘 has done us proud once more! Even better, a neighbour has shown interest in a test drive so might stay local after all 🙂

Hope things go smoothly for you grandMattie - I’m another who stresses when things are iffy or delayed 🫨 ….deep breaths dear lady 🥰

Off for brunch at a little garden centre and a mooch around the shrubs with MrPG pretending he’s Alan Titchmarsh…not even close dear readers!🤣

Bellasnana Fri 04-Oct-24 06:42:05

Good morning from Malta where it is forecast to be 26°C. Yesterday was extremely hot and humid, it was a bit of a struggle walking to the shops and back.

grandMattie you really don’t deserve all this stress. You are such a good person and it’s appalling how much misery these scammers cause to innocent people. Sending you a virtual hug.💐

Glad to hear you are going to ask for advice re your weight loss Mick. Hope all will be well.

I must get up as I have to take the dog to kennels. He saw me preparing his food to be taken with him and knows something is up! He actually enjoys his holidays but gets so excited.

I shall come back and whizz the steam mop over the floors and do a clean as I like to return to a tidy home.

Hair appointment at 1pm to do my roots, call in to see the boys and DD3, then off to the airport around 4pm for my flight to Krakow. Hopefully no delays.

Good luck baubles, that’s good of you to take on a couple of extras!😄.

Hope your poor friend will get her operation done, Ash, what a worrying time.😞

Hope your DGS will be feeling better GG13.

Wishing a good day to all.☀️

GrannyGravy13 Fri 04-Oct-24 06:28:53

Morning all

It’s just beginning to get light, and it’s dry.

The 9 yr old went to bed feeling unwell last night, I will see what he is like when I wake him. Hopefully he goes into school, if not he will be cosseted by me on the sofa all day till DD finishes work.

My day depends on him 🤷‍♀️

I think you need some rest and relaxation grandMattie

Oops that must be a relief.

🙋‍♀️

Good morning from a dry but cloudy Torbay. A beautiful day yesterday! 😎

My poor friend in hospital was told to expect keyhole surgery yesterday to try to alleviate a bowel issue so our planned visit was cancelled. However, then her operation was postponed, too. It is hoped that it will happen today then they will decide on when to begin chemotherapy.

It does sound as if the stressful time you’ve had is taking its toll, grandMattie. You are always busy so no wonder you are tired with other worries lurking in the background. It’s good that your DD is helping and I hope you see evidence of progress soon.

A domestic day ahead here, I expect. DH is still sleeping after a long day out yesterday to visit a model railway shop in Camborne.

Wishing everyone a good day, especially those who’ve been unwell. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from dark and dry South Lanarkshire. Glad to hear that you are going to speak to someone Mick.

Had a lovely time with another gransnetter yesterday, the hours fly in.

I’m off to childmind in Edinburgh and I believe there’s to be an extra two children for a play date after school which finishes at lunchtime. Wish me luck!

Have the best day everyone.

Oopsadaisy1 Fri 04-Oct-24 06:05:14

Good morning, still dark here, if I open the curtains I will wake the dog up, so I’ll stay in bed for a while, it’s too early to let her out as she will chase the rabbits and start barking.

Hope fully it will be another sunny day.

We had our flu jabs yesterday, no side effects, not even a sore arm, we were supposed to have a Covid jab as well, but they couldn’t find a Doctor to administer them, apparently it can’t be done by just anyone. So another trip in on Monday. We exchanged on the house yesterday, it had to go through Probate and it’s taken soooo long, keys next week.

Grandmattie💐

Good morning from Bristol. Didn’t we have a glorious day, yesterday? I’m only sad that there is nowhere for me to enjoy it; my flat faces north.
After a good workout at tai chi yesterday, I had a quiet afternoon. I seem more tired these days, probably associated with anxiety and stress. Nothing legal/financial seems to be going well or less than glacial pace. The gods seem to be against me , maybe payback for a blessed life.
I spent obve4can hour last night finding stuff for DD to send to financial recovery chaps. It exhausted me, but also increased anxiety. I have lost what little self confidence I had.
Today, I have a Spanish class. We have three new students. I’ll try not to sit next to one particular lady. She is probably my age but…
In the afternoon, I’ll be baking for church coffee tomorrow.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
