I cannot imagine a better treat than walking into a gathering of you lovely lot. An enormous thank you for all your kindness and support that makes a real difference to every recipient in need of comfort.
As for all the goodies. Wow! I do not where to begin...which, I wonder, is the least fattening? Silly question!
Continue to enjoy yourselves. You deserve to be pampered.
When we meet Baggs early next week, we will raise a glass of cheer to you all.

Soop's kitchen for kind and caring folk...
(1000 Posts)Good afternoon, Soop and lovely Kitchen people, happy new kitchen! 🥂 What a lovely, warm, welcoming place Soop has prepared for us. Thank you all for the tasty food and drinks. I've brought fresh morning rolls and Aberdeen Angus Square sliced steak sausages, our traditional Saturday brunch, enjoy!
Thinking of everyone, hope Grandmabatty is feeling a bit better, glad brook has arrived safely to her Cambridge family after that difficult journey. Best wishes to MrSoop, MrYiaYia and all with health worries.
We're off soon to see DS1, DDIL1, DGS,DGD and GrandPup, looking forward to seeing them all and catching up on their news.
Wishing everyone the best possible weekend. 🥰
Thank you soop for the lovely new kitchen and to everyone for the delicious treats. It’s so good to see everyone here - I’m late to the party so I’ll just tidy up the plates, wash the glasses, load the dishwasher and settle down in the corner 😀
I’ve arrived safely at my DD1s house in Cambridge, it’s really good to see everyone. It was a nightmare journey though today when everything went wrong, a delayed flight, lots of traffic, roadworks and cancelled trains. The worst bit was the landing at Luton airport, the flight just touched down then a split second later was up again in a steep ascent. The pilot came over the intercom saying it was standard procedure as directed by air traffic control but was quite unsettling and a bit scary not knowing what was happening. We landed safely about 10 minutes later and I was glad to get off the plane!
Sending warmest hugs to all, take care everyone x
Evening all! Glad to have found the new kitchen! I’m tucked into the quiet corner as usual and have brought hot chocolate to share.
It’s the end of a busy week this end, and I’ve just had my flu and covid jabs. No side effects yet, I’m glad to say.
Thinking of all those who are struggling one way or another.
Nice to join in with the fun and news and worries of the new kitchen. It’s a shared experience which I hope helps make people feel they are not alone
‘Evening All’.
So comforting to be able to gather in our new kitchen. Thank you soop.
The pic is from our favourite cafe halfway to Arroyo. I love the clever way the countries are displayed. Very clever. I always stand and look at it when we visit.
We were in the gardens this afternoon. Under a palm tree, both with our iPads watching films on Netflix. I watched ‘A Good Nurse’ based on a true story. Really good and I found it very tense.
We’ve just come home from over the road. A new Argentinian bar serving the most delicious home made empanadas (amongst other things). I’ve nicknamed it the ‘Empanada Palace’.
A lovely warm evening, no cardigans needed. Dark out (natch) but lovely soft lighting on the huge terrace where everyone was eating. Generational Families of 8 and 10 were arriving as we left at 10pm! We as British were paying our bill …. 😁
Found you. I’ll graze the scraps you lot have left and find a quiet spot for a while. Mr C does his best not to be demanding but goodness I’m tired. Weary to my bones. Many thanks for this comforting space soop. Night, night everyone.
Hello again. Another lovely new kitchen. So much food on offer. I’ll have some of everything please. The quiet corner is getting a bit full so I’ll just pull up a chair by the window so I can see everyone coming and going.
Lins sorry I didn’t see your post yesterday. Thinking of you a on what would have been your anniversary. Of course you won’t forget.
Ooh, it’s cosy in here! I’ve brought iced buns for everyone. 🧁
I hope all with worries and illnesses can find some respite here, even if it’s just in the quiet corner.
TOYA. Xxx
Don’t often post but popping in to the new kitchen, what a friendly comforting place it is.
Have put some freshly made apple puffs on the side.
Our apple tree has been prolific this year and I have a freezer full of pies, crumbles and puffs so happy to share.
Thinking of everyone who has worries and troubles.
Gosh! Another lovely new kitchen!
I'm just popping in to say that I shall be reading and trying to keep up with all the news, and thinking of everyone, even if I don't say much!
Another lovely new kitchen, thank you soop.
Lots of yummy goodies, too, (& all calorie-free!!).
Cosy & comfy in the quiet corner.
Warm thoughts for you all. x
Soup please, not to be muddled with our soop!
Tesco delivery running late today, but when they arrive pretzels and salted popcorn will appear in the kitchen.
The sunshine has long gone and it’s the default grey sky again, but my trusty fleece jacket dried earlier.
I struggled to fill my Tesco basket this week, have defrosted and cleaned our small chest freezer recently it needed refilling, so yesterday we broke the bank in Aldi. My first time in a ‘big shop’ for over 5 years, I’ve concluded I don’t miss it.
I hope Mr C is still managing his covid and Mr Yia is getting ready to be on a ward 🤞
Out to our pub later, penultimate time before it closes, hopefully temporarily, on Sunday, sad times, it’s a village meet up place and has been a pub since the 1700’s and is listed.
GG13 I’m just getting over the cold Imogen gave me recently, I slept for 7 hours without coughing last night, marvellous! I hope you recover quickly, the generous ‘sharers’ always recover quickly.
Great, a new kitchen! Apple cake for me please and a glass of fizz. I’ll have the chaise longue (sp)! I’ll put some chocolate spiced muffins on the side.
We had our Covid and flu jabs today at a local pharmacy. We had to queue for a short time. Then to the proper butcher up the road and bought local eggs and sausages.
OH is watching Fake or Fortune while I read the paper.
Have a good evening and hopefully everyone with aches and pains will soon feel hunky dory again soon.
Hi, lovely kitchen and the quiet corner looks really inviting. I'll just take a couple of walnut whips on my way through. I'll leave carrot cakes in exchange
grannygravy I sympathise. The latest bug I'm recovering from came via the boys. I'll leave a few walnut whips too, especially forHellogirl who isn't a fan of soup. Help yourselves. I got loads for my birthday in September
I`m not a soupy person, so can I just have the apple cake please Baggs, it sounds delicious?
Love the new kitchen Soop, I was hoping to bag a seat near the Aga, but someone beat me to it, lol!
Just popping in with a newly made apple cake with an oaty topping. Perfect for afters when we've polished off the leek and potato soup 🍲 🥮
My apologies soop. We will spend a very pleasant time here and hopefully leave all heartache and ills in the last one but that is possibly too much to ask.
I had a new f/f delivered and the old one is going on Monday. Luckily I have the space to accommodate two temporarily.
In NW London it is warmer out than in so I hope my washing is drying. Simple things like that please me.
GC are the gift that keep giving…
This time they have given me their cold/virus 🩷
New kitchen looks very inviting so I will stay awhile .
Yia hope you are managing to rest while your Oh is being well looked after , there seems to be a lot of poorly people at the moment hope you all recover soon .We had a lovely holiday it was the first proper one for a few years . Take care all x
Just popping in with some Mince Pies for those who like their festivities early 😉 I’d hate to think of you all getting tiddly on Soops fizz …hic🫠
Ooh, you’ve moved to a lovely new kitchen!
grandmabatty I love leek and potato soup, so will have some soon. I’ve put some rolls and butter in the kitchen to go with the soup.
Just back from a lunchtime bingo session in the village hall, didn’t win anything but a delicious lunch provided. Only 20 of us there, so prizes weren’t high, but good fun all the same!
I’m still resting my achy knee, but fortunately the hip (replaced last December) has recovered from whatever upset it earlier in the week. Doctor says I’ve been doing too much! So I’m sitting here resting.
Have a good afternoon everyone.
Leek and potato soup on the stove. I'm having a quiet day. Dd popped in with dgs2 who didn't want to go home. Grandma needs a nap!
Welcome!
Thank you for all your support, especially of late. I greatly appreciate your patience. You are truly the best.
Buffet is open. For those who enjoy a glass of bubbly, there is plenty in the chill cabinet.
Enjoy!
I must away for a wee while. I shall catch up later.
