Good morning everyone from Inverness where it looks grey and cloudy
Goodness Bellas I hope you’ve recovered ok and today is a better day for you, take care
I arrived home safely yesterday evening after a good journey up from Cambridge. DH picked me up from the airport and I went to bed early as I was really tired, I’m always the same after travelling! I’ve got a volunteering session this morning but nothing else planned for today except a bit of food shopping and washing
Great photo mizuna thanks for sharing!
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings💐

Good morning Mick and All from a damp and drizzly day in South Bucks.

Sorry to hear of your accident Bellasnana. You were lucky there was a doctor on hand. 💐

Good morning from wet Wiltshire.

We dropped off GD3 back home after dinner with us following school pickup yesterday. DD2 said last week when she was picked up by her she burst into tears. It transpired that had a lesson about the great fire of London where a great many Londoners had died and she was terribly upset. She is such a sensitive soul. We haven’t got GS2 today as he now does an extra nursery day so will have alternate weeks now.

Our bean to cup coffee maker finally expired on Saturday after 7.5 years of use. If we had drunk 2 cups of coffee each out a day we’d have spent a figure approaching £20,000. New identical one arrived yesterday evening.

Bellasnana what traumatic time you’ve had in Poland. I hope all of you feeling unwell post vaccination are ok now and those with other maladies feel better. Have a good if soggy Tuesday.

Good morning from Shropshire.A mixed forecast today.

Yesterday turned out to be very warm.DH spent the day getting the garden sorted for winter. My relaxing day started well but rapidly deteriorated. My brother is making a bad situation even worse.I can’t say much as this is a public forum but he is wanting mum’s money as if she is dead.Horrendous.

Today we will visit mum and then stay at her house for a couple of days to make visiting easier and to collect some things for her.

Grandmabatty I am glad things are moving along with the guardianship. You have been dealing with the situation for so long.I take inspiration from you in dealing with our own situation.I hope you feel better as the day goes on.

Bellasnanna I hope you are feeling better.Any fall is a shock.

Great photo Mizuna.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning from a damp Essex coast.
You poor thing Bella I hope you continue to feel OK.
I managed 3 loads of washing yesterday, now to start the ironing.
I'm off to Lidl first thing, the fridge especially is very bare.
DD2 is having major work done at home, a new kitchen, walls demolished. She sent pictures last night. I hope she doesn't get too stressed over it.
I must go and put the kettle on, best wishes to all and have a good Tuesday xx

GrannyGravy13 Tue 08-Oct-24 06:52:31

Morning Mick and all

Bellasnanna please be careful today 🤣

I intend to put the mid-weight duvet on the bed first thing, then feed the washing machine with bedding and summer duvet.

Manicure and pedicure mid morning, school pickup and then it’s the dreaded swimming lessons 🙀. The Imp can swim, but not with a recognised stroke, fortunately his instructor has a sense of humour. The 9yr old is a fish like his Mum.

The man will clean the Range whilst I am out, DH can keep him company.

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️

Good morning from a damp Torbay after some overnight rain.

Poor you, Bellasnana! I hope Zacopane is free of mishaps! You so needed a good holiday after your busy days with your grandsons.

Resting sounds like a plan, GrannyIvy. I believe that is a very painful condition.

Take things carefully as far as that is possible, Grandmabatty as you regain your strength.

Great photo, Mizuna!

Props this morning then later I’ve been offered a place on a six week course of physiotherapy exercises for my knee. It includes the use of an exercise bike …… I last cycled in 1998! Needless to say I’m apprehensive.

Have a good day and stay dry! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning all from a still dark North Leicestershire. I don't think it is raining but it is chilly.

I gave not organised today properly - I was planning to do phone calls this morning but had forgotten that DH has a phone consultation - theoretically between 8.30 and 10.30 so who knows.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Grandmabatty Tue 08-Oct-24 06:45:02

Bellasnana! That must have given you a fright. I hope you are ok today. GrannyIvy thank you.
I've just been reading about Hurricane Milton which is due to hit Florida so soon after the last hurricane. It's predicted to be a category five. My heart goes out to the people who can't escape it.

GrannyIvy Tue 08-Oct-24 06:39:13

Bellasnana OMG hope you will feel better today. What an eventful time you are having 💐
Bonny and Grandmabatty rest up hope you feel much better soon 💐
Best wishes to everyone struggling

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 08-Oct-24 06:36:54

Gosh Bella! I hope you’re recovered today!

Morning all from a torrentially rainy West Oxfordshire.

I will be listening to two Art History lectures from the V&A this morning.

After lunch I will pop round to see the friend who is still recovering from cancer treatment from over a year ago.

OH has his shooting club this evening so I’ll do some admin and watch the Bake Off from about 8.20 pm so I can fast forward the adverts - I record it!

Have a good day everyone.

Mizuna Tue 08-Oct-24 06:33:12

Good morning from a rainy Cornwall where I'm having a bit of a detox from the internet generally. But thought you might enjoy a photo of my granddaughter on holiday in the Canaries. 😄

GrannyIvy Tue 08-Oct-24 06:30:07

Good morning from a dark Cambridgeshire. Looks like we had more rain overnight so no re opening of some of our roads yet but at least our home isn’t flooded.
Had a lovely walk around the local NT gardens yesterday morning in the sunshine but unfortunately 3 miles was enough to bring on a severe attack of what I think must be plantar fasciitis. It has been hovering in the background for weeks but bearable. I seem unable to weight bear now! I was hoping for a trip into Cambridge shopping today🙈
I have school pick up later and hoping I can hobble from the car to school gates🤞 Otherwise DH will be on duty! Maybe a day with my book or tv is the best option today!

Hope everyone has a good day

Bonnybanko Tue 08-Oct-24 06:28:04

Good morning all it’s very dark, , dry and cold on the east coast of Fife.

I think I overdid it yesterday I’m quite tired this morning by going shopping to a sainsburys after being housebound for 3 weeks due to the new variant Covid.
I’ll rest up today and enjoy the food I bought.

Have a good day my friends and keep safe

Bellasnana Tue 08-Oct-24 06:23:55

Good morning from Krakow where it is a fine day.

Thank you so much for your kind words yesterday. I got some Immodium from the pharmacy and some electrolytes to add to my water and felt a lot better as the day wore on.

We had a fascinating tour of the Salt Mines but as we were nearing the end I caught my foot on a railway track that ran through it and fell head first onto the hard floor. Gashed my head, broke my glasses, phone went flying.

I was so embarrassed and shaken but such kind people came to my aid, there was a doctor in our group who came and knelt beside me asking questions, eventually a lovely Irish gentleman picked me up, the first aiders came and I was patched up.

The rest of the day went well, the sun shone and we walked around the Jewish Quarter and had a lovely lunch.

We are off to Zakopane this morning for a day trip. I’m feeling ok, slight headache but that’s all.

I don’t think my friend will be wanting me as a travel buddy in future!😄

Have a good day all and thanks again, you are such a kind group of friends.🤗☀️

karmalady Tue 08-Oct-24 06:23:20

Good morning from very wet s somerset

We are out of the tornado path, storm is heading south to Spain. I am glad I did the preps and will leave them in situ as another is developing. Weather can be so powerful. No worries for now, thanks to mobile jet stream. Cold is coming instead, so I will be unearthing my Welsh blanket for my bed

I am going to do homely things today, soup making, fridge sorting and wall to wall sewing of warm turtle necks . My indoor clothes for winter will be old-style layers and I am thinking about making a long warm indoor pinafore dress with a full back and front.

Have a good day

Grandmabatty Tue 08-Oct-24 06:16:53

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 12° and damp. Yesterday turned into a reasonable day weather-wise. The boys were pretty well behaved too. I was struggling a bit so I'm grateful for small mercies. The soup I made tasted awful and had to be disposed of. I'm disappointed as I was looking forward to it.
Today will be a rerun of yesterday. I have to drop off the boys early because I have an interview with the medical officer regarding mum. She is gathering the information required to go to court for the guardianship to proceed. A step closer. Despite an early night, I'm tired today. The virus and the long day is taking its toll. Have a good day all.

Greyduster Tue 08-Oct-24 06:07:14

Good morning Michael and all GNs. It looks rather damp outside but it’s too dark to see at the moment. Yesterday was warm and sunny. I went over to the garden centre in the afternoon, just for the run out really but bought some heathers for a new bed I’m going to plant, but it needs some work yet. Ironing this morning and volunteering at school this afternoon. I hope it’ll be dry enough to walk there and back.
Have the best day you can, folks.

RosesandLilac Tue 08-Oct-24 05:58:26

Good morning from soggy south Glos, it’s pouring with rain here 🙄
The dog will have a wet walk this morning, she won’t mind.
My sister is coming for coffee, I haven’t seen her for a while so I’m looking forward to having a catch up.
DH is away until Friday, I haven’t heard from him so I assume he arrived safely 🤷🏼‍♀️ He doesn’t answer texts so no point in trying to get hold of him (he never answers his or the house phone either).
Little planned apart from different friends coming each day which will be lovely! It will be nice to see them all.
Have a good day everyone 🌹

grandMattie Tue 08-Oct-24 05:48:28

Good morning from Bristol. It has rained during the night and more is due, but when?
I had a quiet day yesterday; just Tesco, finishing the harvest piccalilli. I also had my feet seen to. It’s going up y £5 at the next visit. Simple, essential things are getting so very expensive.
Debating whether to go to outdoor tai chi this morning. The long return walk, possibly in the rain, puts me off.
Otherwise, I have an empty. Sewing? Sitting and reading?
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩
