Steamer

I have had an electric steamer for years and we certainly wouldn’t want to be without it. The bottom section can double as an electric frying pan and the top two sections are stainless steel with a glass lid. It cost well over £100 but this was years ago. It steams vegetables ect very quickly and is much better than the plastic options.

Is the OP talking about a steamer, as in a saucepan with 2 steaming pans used on a stove, or an electric one?

Because of a kitchen mishap (burnt the bottom out of the base pan☹) I've now got a set with three steamer pans. I can cook all vegetables for a meal on one ring, or do steamed salmon, potatoes and two veg...

Electric steamers always seem a bit unnecessary to me..

I bought mine in Asda, I had a small one that cost about £8, it wasn’t big enough, then I bought a bigger one at less than £15. The pans and lid fit nicely together.

Asda three tier pans with glass lid about £13.00 but not certain I bought one last year.

Thanks you were correct a steamer for cooking. I will have a look in Sainsbury when next in town. We do have a small one here but they only sell food although they do have an Argos

I bought my 3 tier stainless steel steamer with glass lid from Sainsbury about 5 years ago. They still sell them, £18 I believe.

They may be on the small side for a family - they are brilliant for 2 of us.
