Good morning from a grey Cambridgeshire.

Lovely pictures Bellasnana Auschwicz is hard to visit, we went years ago on a bleak snowy day. I will never forget my visit and pleased I went.

Hope everyone has a good day

Bonnybanko, I have just finished a series on Amazon Prime which was filmed in Fife. 'It's a Vets' Life'. I enjoyed it so much and loved all the views of Fife, many aerial views. I love anything to do with animals so it was right down my alley. Some pretty nice-looking vets too! So many special breeds of animals were shown, I had no idea. I can highly recommend this series!

“The Living Mountain”, Maw. Don’t know the author, we had to share it and I read it nearly three weeks ago.

Good morning from a fine, dry Torbay after a day of sunshine and showers yesterday with the odd rumble of thunder for good measure.

Yesterday, I attended the first of six group physio sessions at the hospital, specifically geared to those with knee issues. Knowing that it would entail using gym equipment made me apprehensive as I’ve never been to a gym in my life! However, the supportive staff and the camaraderie of the participants helped me overcome my nerves. I managed to try all the equipment except the treadmill which made me dizzy so I was advised to discontinue that.

Today DH and I will attend Wednesday Club for a talk from a Toads member who lived in France for many years. I’m sure DH will contribute from his experiences!

Bellasnana: Auschwitz is a tough visit to undertake especially if you are below par but I expect you feel duty bound to go for the sake of your friend but out of respect for the poor victims. I was there over 20 years ago and will never forget it.

Special thoughts for those who are unwell, especially some of our regular contributors.

Happy hump day! 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning all .
I’m off on a coach trip to Bury St.Edmunds today with the U3A.

We’ve had some very long delayed coach trips lately so fingers crossed this one will be better 🤞.

Enjoy the day as best you can 🌻🍁

Good morning everyone. It’s grey and damp in mid Essex at the moment, not sure what the forecast is.
Had a quiet day at DD1’s yesterday, cuddling the dog all morning. She had a long walk at lunchtime with the dog walker, then slept most of the afternoon. Collected the granddaughters from after school club, we all got wet in a heavy shower! Finally got home at 9.00, my poor daughter & son in law didn’t get home until 8.30, a long day in the office for them both.
Today I have physio for my knee, but need to join the 8 o’clock scramble to try & get an appointment to see someone about a possible infection.
Nothing else planned for the day. bella beautiful photos.
Thinking of those with problems of any type!
Have the best day you can everyone.

Morning Mick, morning All. It’s dark and dry out there at the moment, our corner of Somerset is forecast more rain later.

Anither quiet day watching the dust gather. Neither of us have energy to tackle anything. Getting impatient now, can only sit it out.

With thoughts to everyone with worries of any kind and a hope Wednesday is kind to us all.

Ladyleftfieldlover Wed 09-Oct-24 07:06:36

Morning all from a damp West Oxfordshire.

We had torrential rain yesterday. I drove to my friend’s for the afternoon. I could have walked as she lives on the other side of the village but there is no pavement and I would have got soaked anyway.

I have lots to do today as we are off tomorrow morning at 11 am on our holiday. I have to pack, collect two dresses from the seamstress, ironing, WI stuff…

Younger son is here this evening and will work from home and stay a few days. His oldest friend is celebrating her 40th birthday in Bristol so a bunch of them are going there over the weekend. This means he can feed the cats before passing the key to my neighbour.

Have a good day. I hope MD is ok.

RosiesMaw2 Wed 09-Oct-24 07:02:35

Good morning from N Bucks where it just MAY have stopped raining - for a bit.
Sorry you’ve had a bad night Mck - go back to bed for the morning and give your system a rest.
This is not the weather or indeed time of year to be out and about on buses etc if your insides aren’t right.
Your description of your book has piqued my interest Grandmattie - what was the title/author?
Opera Plus this morning. We are watching the whole of The Merry Widow which I know a few members will find a little “lowbrow” but you know what I’ll be singing for the rest of the day.🎶🎶
I hope nobody is too poorly and that today is kind to you all.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 09-Oct-24 07:01:15

Morning all, I have been reading my kindle since 5am, but hey ho I can nap this afternoon if need be.

Off to the gym this morning, then I have bedding to iron, I will try and find a new series to watch whilst I am doing so.

Mick hope your health improved over the coming hours.

Enjoy your day 🙋‍♀️

Bellasnana Wed 09-Oct-24 06:59:41

Good morning from Krakow where rain is forecast although I can see blue sky out of the window so we can but hope.

Sorry you’ve had a bad night Mick, better to stay put if your tummy is unsettled. Hope you feel better soon.

Yesterday we went to Zakopane which was a long drive and not really what we had imagined. However, it was a beautiful sunny day and we went to the mountains, had a ride in a chair lift up one of them and enjoyed it very much.

In all honesty, I can’t wait to get home as I still don’t feel 100%, but we have a quiet day planned today and Auschwitz tomorrow which I’m dreading. My friend wants to go so I’m reluctantly going with her.

Thank you all so much for your kind words yesterday, I really appreciate your thoughtfulness.

I’m worried about DD2 and DGD as they live in SW Florida. DGD has been given two days off due to the hurricane. It’s so frightening and I’m praying for all those in its path.

Hoping Marydoll is ok, my thoughts are with her.

Have a good day all.☀️

PS. Photos from yesterday. I’m in the green jacket.

Good morning all from a currently dry North Leicestershire.

Our cleaner is due at 9 and DH is off to the gym. I have to do everything I didn't do yesterday!!!

Have the best day possible everyone.

karmalady Wed 09-Oct-24 06:43:43

Good morning from s somerset, it might be dry today and we have local flying pigs

Marydoll flowers

What a day yesterday, there was so much torrential rain, rivers are rising and many roads around here are flooded again.

I must be out today, even if only for 30 minutes fast walking. Thankfully, I have plenty to do indoors and have enabled echo dot to play bbc sounds so I can now pack up two, bigger radios and place them in a box in the garage. I am not getting rid of them, not yet

Somehow I need to get my knitting mojo back, I was well into knitting a winter jumper, the longer I leave it, the harder it will be to follow the pattern. It got to the stage when it was nicely keeping my knees warm.

Have a good day

Puss Wed 09-Oct-24 06:30:48

Good morning from a dark and wet Belfast.
Rained all day yesterday.
Came back from church group and didn't do much. I have noticed that if the weather is bad I just go and laze about.
I have washing to hang . Have to get up and do some cleaning
Positive thinking.
Have been thinking about MD hope everything was good yesterday.
Have a good day everyone.

monk08 Wed 09-Oct-24 06:27:01

Good morning all from the Black country still dark but dry at the moment.
DH fishing hence the early start.
Miick sorry you had a bad night do take it easy today.
Will catch up with everybody's happenings later enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans ☀️.

Georgesgran Wed 09-Oct-24 06:25:20

Good morning from Durham. It’s rained heavily from 3pm yesterday and still going. I’ve had a poor night with my vaccination sites sore and red.
Thankfully, I’ve not much on today, other than taking a friend to collect her car and picking up an item of dry cleaning for DD1, which I’ll drop off later. I’m having DD2’s Little Dog overnight, but doubt he’ll get a walk in this weather!

Hope MaryD is ok.

Best wishes to all. X

Pantglas2 Wed 09-Oct-24 06:21:27

Sorry to read you’re unwell Mick - hope it clears and you can get back into your normal routine tomorrow x

Some shopping 🛒 needed here so a trot to Llandudno with stops at Drs and pharmacy for Mr PG - just normal scripts thankfully he seems to be well medicated for his conditions at the moment 🤞it continues!

Hope all have a better day, I know some are stressed with their own or loved ones health 💐.

Greyduster Wed 09-Oct-24 06:13:36

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a still dark and rather damp South Yorkshire. Sorry you’ve had a bad night, Mick - take it easy today and keep your fluids up.
Not sure how my day will shape up. Usually writers group on Wednesday afternoon, but my heart’s not in it today so I may give it a miss. I’ve plenty to do at home.
Have the best day you can, folks.

grandMattie Wed 09-Oct-24 06:11:42

Good morning from what was a damp Bristol. We have had flooding problems up the road but mercifully not here. Today’s will be mixed again, but less cold.
I was glad I didn’t go to the outdoor tai chi class as it rained off and on all day.
Instead, I thought I’d have a quiet day at home. Ha! I was incredibly busy, cleaning floors, vacuuming, doing laundry, cooking…I was pooped by the end.
Today, I’ve got church prayers and my pop up hair salon this morning and the book group in the afternoon. The book was interesting, about the cairngorms in the 1950s, but, oh dear, just too much - like eating a whole chocolate cake in one go! I wonder what the others’ verdicts will be.
I hope MD isn’t too unwell, ditto others who are missing. May all your problems be solved.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
