Difficulties between leaving Sky for Virgin

For several reasons I decided to leave Sky and change to Virgin. Despite notifying Sky I cannot get rid of them!

The constant pestering is getting me down. Is there an official person nominated to help in these circumstances? Trying online has not helped and I seem to talk to a robot if I telephone.
