I have found a cure for my insomnia

I use a pillow spray and also a magnesium spray on my body…plus some moisturiser to help it be less sticky. Really helps with me staying asleep and when I forget I often wake in the small hours!

How spooky that this thread should pop up today. I have been looking at this website and am very tempted to try one of their pillow sprays....https://www.pillowsprays.co.uk/

I started using a lavender spray on my pillow about a month ago and find myself getting to sleep much more quickly!

Beware of postal/custom charges! I ordered a second hand piano book at cost of £2 from Wales. I do not live in UK and postal charge was extra £10. Now I have notification of need to pay VAT on said item ( now valued at 18 euro) and an admin fee so another 10 euro. Madness and Brexit related.

I am sure that it is the combination rather than the supplier that is important. As you say others that do it, good luck

I have looked them up. Unfortunately they charge £25 for delivery to Europe. And they use FedEx! I haven't seen a FedEx delivery van for years here in Germany and never in our area. No wonder delivery is expensive. And when it arrives I'd probably have to pay the same again in customs duties (Thanks to Brexit)

They may as well send it on a gold horse-drawn coach.

I have found another company that does something similar but it may not be as good. I can order it from Amazon. It still comes from the UK but Amazon deals with the customs and delivery. I'll order it and let you know if it works.

I love After the rain, it is gently wafting over me as I sit here. I spray my bed with the mister which I got as a free gift

Many years ago a good friend bought me some soap and body lotion called After the Rain from the Arran sense company.
I have used it occasionally ever since and have gifted it to others.
I shall now check their website.
Thankyou OP.x

The company is called Arran Sense of Scotland. When you register it is worth signing up for the newsletter as they have really good offers. I usually wait for the free postage offers, but the do discounts as welll.

Just recently I sleep very soundly having returned to a childhood night time ritual - having a small cup of warm milk and Horlicks an hour or so before my bedtime ...

I will supply details of where I got mine if anyone wants it. I did not put in the original post for that reason.

Yes please littleflo.
If you could give a link that would be great.

Littleflo thank you for your post. I too am waking about 1am and finding it very difficult to get back to sleep. This morning it was 4am before I got back off, and I now still have headache.
I do use a This works sleep spray, but don’t use it during the night as it would wake my DH. I’ve also bought some magnesium glycinate tablets to try.

I use Neom Good Nights Sleep hand cream, face oil and pillow mist. Even if I do not sleep all the way through I find these products very relaxing.

They also do reed diffusers and candles in the same fragrance, all natural, vegan and bunny free

Lavender is a great sleep aid but take care not to overdo it, as it can cause over-relaxation of the muscles.

Even if this is an advert (which I doubt, because there's no link) it sounds like something I should try. I always wake up with a headache and take a couple of hours before I can function in the mornings.

I have real difficulty sleeping. I come wide awake about 2am an then lay there for three or four hours.

I saw a recommendation for long lasting diffusers from a company in Scotland and bought them. They are wonderful. Then I saw that they do lots of other products too.

I bought Camomile and Lavender body lotion. I rubbed into my neck, shoulders hands and feet. Went to bed at midnight and woke at 6 feeling refreshed. Best of all no banging headache which I have every morning. I am sure I will be able to recover what I spend by saving on pain killers.
