Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where dawn is just breaking. We are expecting a windy, wet day but it’s dry at the moment so who knows - maybe the forecast is back to front yet again. Yesterday I managed to get bed linen washed and dry, the inside of my car cleaned (my goodness did it need it!) and shopping done. Today I’m going out to lunch with DD et al to our local pub so no cooking! Hurrah! Meanwhile, coffee, biscuits and The Lark Ascending!
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning everyone from a dry and mild Essex. Rain is forecast, along with strong winds. Nowhere near the wind speeds forecast for North west Scotland, I hope everyone stays safe during storm Ashley!
Yesterday started out very wet, but dried out in the afternoon and we had a lovely sunny afternoon. Very mild in the night and I was hot! I had thought to put the winter weight duvet on the bed, but will wait a few more days.
DD2 came over with the littlest granddaughter who was happy playing with some of the toys I have here.
DD1 may call in today, otherwise it will be a quiet day.
Enjoy your holidays grandmattie and sago.
ash and mizuna I hope you feel better soon.
Have the best day possible everyone and stay safe.

Good morning from a cloudy Cornwall. I have to stay in because my strong antibiotics for breathing problems can produce a nasty skin reaction to UVA rays even on cloudy days. You learn something new every day! Paramedics came out yesterday and were so helpful and informative and even went to Superdrug to collect my prescription. I then watched an entire series of Downton Abbey and felt very rested (and somewhat stiff 😂) afterwards. Today more of the same - minus paramedics hopefully 😁 - plus playing my guitar which I have tended to neglect.

Paramedics also came a few days ago to my neighbour's two-year-old granddaughter who wouldn't wake up. Oof. Turns out she's got Type 1 diabetes. She is the most adorable spirited little girl I see a lot of as we share stairs and a landing and I was perturbed to hear the life-shaping diagnosis. But she comes from a resilient family and apparently is taking the injections like a little trooper. Her mum had a bed wheeled next to hers in hospital and if the ward isn't full they wheel one to the other side for her dad. Such kindness.

Good morning all from Severnside. Dark and I’ve just stuck my head out of the window and there is a fresh wind. It felt nice on my face as I’ve had a restless night owing to changing my quilt to a higher tog and was too hot. Wish I’d left it a bit longer.
My daughter came yesterday and we enjoyed a meal that I rarely make these days just for me.

Today I’ve some admin to do and fingers crossed make a start on ufo’s so I can tidy my craft room.

Have a good day everyone ☔️💨🌺

Good Morning from sunny Rhodes.

Yesterday we got up very early to drive to Lindos and climb up to the Parthenon.
It was spectacular, we had a good hour or more at the top, we came down as the crowds began to arrive.

We bought sandwiches in Lindos and found an almost empty beach to eat and swim a few miles out of town, our companions were a herd of goats who were enjoying dipping their toes in the water!

Loving this island and the people here.

Good morning from a very soggy Torbay following a beautiful autumnal day yesterday.

Your holiday sounds really interestinG, grandMattie.

I hope you continue to make good progress, hollysteers, helped by your DD.

Ever since DH left on Thursday, I’ve been hibernating, first with a cold which then turned into some kind of virus, giving me a raised temperature. Most frustrating as it meant I had to cancel my flu vaccination booked for yesterday morning. Today I shall miss church and the rehearsal this afternoon.

Wishing you all a blessed Sunday. 🦩💐✝️🥰🦩

Good morning from Malta where it is still very dark outside.

We had some rain yesterday and it looks like more of the same for the rest of the week. Still 25°C though so not getting out the winter clothes just yet!

Enjoyed being with the boys yesterday, they are so sweet and coming on really well. Both took a long nap so I wasn’t kept very busy.

Mass this morning then I need to make soup as I bought all the veg to go in it and don’t want to waste them.

Hope you feel better soon Holly, sorry your friend has hurt her neck Bonny. Have a good time with your new friends.

Enjoy your day gM. On my recent visit to Poland we were pleasantly surprised by how inexpensive it was when eating out or taking taxis, much cheaper than here.

Have a good day all.☀️

Good morning from s somerset, rain is again battering the windows and will not be stopping until this afternoon. The flood plains are flooded as are some roads

Holly, I hope you feel better very soon.

My right hand fingers are a bit swollen today so I need to give myself a break from knitting with small needles, I finished my hat late last night, the warmest nicest hat with thousands of stitches. Mouche bear 2 and her clothes were next on my to-do list but will have to take a back seat for a few days as will some socks. They are both UFOs in project bags

Tidying is done and I may well just do skirting boards today and also some paint touch-up on wall corners. Then the archers and some reading as well as some bouncing on my indoor re-bounder, which gets my blood circulating

Have a good day

Good morning all from a dark but dry Black country.
Early start DH is fishing one more contest left after this which is on Wednesday.
Haven't decided what my day will hold will wait for it to get lighter.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans, thoughts with missing posters ☀️

Sorry. Fat fingers .
… very busy market and had lunch there. We are all surprised at the modesty of prices. Lunch cost me about£2!
We then went to a disused mine, el soplao, to see the limestone formations. Not allowed to take photos, so look online if you want and idea. They are breathtaking.
Today, it’s the replica Altamira Neolithic cave pain, the original is too fragile for visits. I’m really looking forward to those.
Must get organised. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good Morning from mid-Lancs. Very dark yet but I can hear the wind started to rev up. I suppose the storm must be on it's way........I'd better batten down the hatches.

grandMattie Sun 20-Oct-24 06:08:59

Good morning all it’s very dark and windy today here on the east coast of Fife.
Fingers crossed the rain stays off I’m going out for a Sunday lunch today with 2 friends I hitched up with recentlyMy friend who normally takes me to church has sadly hurt her neck and back, someone bumped into her car causing her to be unable to lift my wheelchair to her car. I’m hoping she gets well soon. I miss my church.

Have a good day or as best you can .

Good morning Mick and all from a dark windy northwest coast. Bad weather forecast here.
Early for me, but I have had a restless night, my stitches and general state of feeling uncomfortable stopping sleep. The District Nurse is coming today to take them out.

DD arrived yesterday and is the perfect nurse, watching as I tortuously made my way through half teaspoons of puréed food. My weight is dropping dramatically but I wouldn’t wish this eating experience on anyone. Correction, I can think of a few…
Still, I managed to tidy up a bit yesterday so things are improving.
I hope you all have a blessed Sunday🌺
