Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Mild again but the towels are still outside on the line trying to dry.
One of the drawbacks of visitors is the amount of washing generated.
I'm off to Clydebank for my long awaited hip consultation. Its not the operation yet but I feel a fraud. I'm not in agony and am fearful of the procedure.
Poor little one Bellasnanna 😢
Sorry about your uncle Baubles and sorry about all your woes Susan. Good for you in tackling DM's poor treatment.
Look forward to seeing your latest quilt gMattie perhaps I could commission one.......
Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning Wednesday 30th October 2024
(40 Posts)Good morning everyone from Essex. It’s mild, dry and grey - again! I’m hoping for a bit of sunshine today, as I’m fed up with the grey skies.
Yesterday I repotted two houseplants into larger pots, hope they survive! Sat with my friend with dementia while her DH had a hospital appointment., she was more agitated than recently. susan such a difficult situation for you. I hope that the hospital care improves and that you are able to move her to a more suitable environment.
ash pleased the physio on your knee is helping mobility and pain levels.
I’ll call in on both DDs this morning to deliver a few Halloween goodies for the grandchildren. A food delivery this afternoon, and I hope to cut back a few large shrubs in the garden. Still a few flowers out.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Morning all from West Oxfordshire.
I had a migraine yesterday evening so I had an early night. I feel refreshed this morning.
Hairdresser at 10 am and then I have a parcel to collect from Waitrose. I’ve ordered my annual new Christmas tree decorations - the 12 days of Christmas baubles. We still use decorations we bought when we lived in Seychelles over 40 years ago.
OH and I will spend the afternoon putting honey in 100 jars. I will stick the various labels on. Hopefully we can sell most of it at a Car Boot Sale on Sunday!
Have a good day everyone, especially FGT2 - I hope all goes well.
Good morning from Glasgow. I’m giving up as like Grandmattie I’ve now lost 2 posts! 😬
Good morning all from North Leicestershire. It is not light enough to say what the weather is like.
Our cleaner is due at 9, DH is off to the gym and I have a much needed appointment with my hairdresser for highlights. I also have to go to M&S.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning from a cloudy Torbay.
Thank you all for your kind Anniversary wishes yesterday, much appreciated by us both.
Susan: my heart goes out to you and I hope you find some answers in your quest regarding your mother's treatment.
Safe journey, Greyduster. And to you tomorrow, karmalady.
You have a very kind heart, Mizuna. I hope the poor gentleman is safe and comfortable now.
Good luck with the travel arrangements, baubles, and condolences on the loss of your uncle.
Yesterday, I enjoyed being at Props with various people calling to hire from us plus set builders were busily constructing the set for the next play. The physio class provided surprising relief to my stiff knee especially the exercise bike. I’m considering buying a set of pedals to use at home (no space for a full sized bike!)
Happy hump day, everyone! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩
Good morning from a dry spot in south Glos, where I’m sitting in bed with my coffee having slept very well 👏
Yesterday I did very little but I did finish knitting Dgs1’s sock1 and cast on the second one.
DH has an appointment at the eye hospital today so he’ll be out all day. The dog and I will have an early dog walk then a quiet day after the usual housework.
I need to do some weeding and tidying in the garden, I love pottering around outside. Many plants are still growing strongly, my cosmos show no signs of stopping.
Hugs to you who need them 🌹
Good morning from South Lanarkshire where the birds are just awakening.
An Uncle of mine died two days ago so yesterday morning was spent organising flights and a hotel. My planning was complicated by trying to tie in with DD who, in the end will go on a different flight but we’ll return together.
Yarn group last night saw us working hard to finish a rather tedious project that we were landed with after the group who asked for help with it eventually gave up. Anyway it’s done and we can move on to the next thing.
I’ll do a bit of batch cooking today. DH is perfectly capable of feeding himself while I’m away but I’ll make something for him to take to DS’s house when he’ll be doing the childcare on his own.
Hope the little one feels much better soon Bella.
Have a good day everyone, as bed you can.
Good morning from Shropshire where another dry day is forecast.
Yesterday was a day of ups and downs in dealing with the situation with mum.I have written to my MP and forwarded the email to mum’s MP and also the Health Secretary over the pharmacy error which led to mum’s hospitalisation and the end of her independent life.It has been playing on my mind that the incident will not be an isolated incident and I feel a sense of relief that I have made people in authority aware of it.
The care in the hospital is as mixed as ever.We have been advised by the ward sister on the current ward to make a complaint to PALS.My brother is taking this on as I am dealing with enough🤯
The day was saved by the arrival of DD and family.SIL and DD went home with the dog and left us the children.A fair exchange. We had a lovely evening with the children who are both still fast asleep.
Today I have a solicitors appointment for advice about the POA while DH and the children will be carving pumpkins🎃
I hope Grandmabatty is doing ok.She has been dealing with the situation with her mum for so much longer than I have.💐
Thinking of all with health issues and those with worries and struggles💐
Have the best day you can everyone🦩
Good morning Michael and all GNs. Still dark in South Yorkshire. I went to bed really early last night which was silly because I’m then awake before the birds! I’m off to spend a few days away with my son and DiL today. Back at the weekend. It will be a change of scenery and company for me.
Have the best day you can folks.
Good morning from s somerset, dull weather again today and for the next few days
Thankfully, I was back to normal yesterday, I don`t like it when my enthusiasms have disappeared. I got on with stuff, even some sewing and finished the day with midsomer murders and knitting
Similar for today, except I am expecting an exciting parcel of goodies from Canada. Including a very special item from Ukraine, hand made in leather. My present to myself.
All in all, I will be taking it easy today as I have a return drive to wales tomorrow and need all my concentration for the two difficult motorways
Bellasnana, I hope the little one is better very soon
Have a good day
Good morning from a drizzly Cornwall. Just getting art stuff ready for my granddaughter who's coming for the day, oh joy.
Was so heartened to see an empty bus shelter opposite my flat yesterday. A homeless man has been living in it for weeks, sleeping in the rain and cooking on a camping gas stove, while waiting to be rehoused by the council. He left his previous accommodation due to a dodgy landlord. Everyone has been concerned for him, caring where it was practicable to care. The police left him there because he was no trouble; no begging, drugs or alcohol. Courteous and dignified. I assume he's been found a home. I'll enquire at the Salvation Army, where he went at times. It makes my heart bleed to see these situations two minutes from my doorstep, where I live in my very comfortable bubble.
Losing posts again. I don’t know what going on. Met cousin for lunch yesterday. Assembling patchwork, full singles bed size.
Coffee in complex today, dinner at DD’s. 🦩🦩🦩🦩
Good morning from Malta where the weather is still warm and dry.
I’m up early again as littlest is still not ready to go back to nursery. DD3 took him to the paediatrician yesterday evening who found nothing alarming but said to keep him home again today.
Wishing you all a good day.☀️
