We won £200 on the premium bonds.........

£50 for me which was a bit of a disappointment as it’s been in 3 figures for the last 2months.
However I have a problem with my boiler timing thingy and they are coming out to it next week.
Call out £60 so I am out of pocket already, even discounting my horrendous shock from Octopus energy which I started a thread on this morning.

Someone with less than 10 bonds won a substantial sum last month; they'd held them for years.

If you look at the amount the winners hold most have the full £50,000 . Only a few holding a small amount win but we can always hope .

Of course the more you invest, the better your chances. But the fun of premium bonds is that you can win big for a relatively small stake. Eight people with holdings of less than £10,000 have won £100,000 this month. Someone with £22 worth has won £50,000. So I can still dream.

I won £175, excited, it's a tiny amount towards a new kitchen.

Perhaps some posh new taps?

Zilch, zero, nada this month for either of us. Always a disappointment when we don’t even win a single £25.

£350 today - that'll be straight in and straight out then.

Reason - I've already got an "extra" NHS bill (as I call them) lined-up. When I saw my (private) dentist a couple of weeks back for annual check-up he informed me "That'll be two repeat fillings you'll have to come back for in a couple of weeks. Kerching - £314 that'll cost you". So nearly all of it straight back out again for that and I'll see very little of it myself.....

In fact by the time I count in having my annual visit to an optician for a check-up in a couple of weeks time and, from memory, there'll be an "optional" part of that test that I'm going to be charged about £40 for as I recollect. Yep..."optional" - in that I could avoid it - but I wouldn't be having a fullest possible test if I did that......and so the whole win will be taken for "NHS bills".

Thinks....note to Universe and I think I'll probably have a new set of glasses (that'll be 4 pairs - basic I choose what I want, sunglasses I choose what I want and then I get cheapest possible pairs for reading and computer use). So that'll doubtless be some hundreds of £s gone - so I need another win (to at least cover that for me).

tanith that is the usual amount I win and it is better than nothing. That should be your heating and lighting paid for a couple of days if you are careful.

My mother died in 2010 and I won £25 in the following two months, almost as though fate was trying to cheer me up! I'd previously not won anything at all for years.

Oh dear kitty. We won £200 too. No disasters (yet).

I was once phoned by BT to say that I was due compensation for something I'd forgotten about. The man said I should sit down that the amount was £500. I was amazed and happy but that exact moment the children shouted through, 'Mum,quick, there's smoke coming from the TV'! Easy come easy go!

I am still in shock, £500, one bond, I will not see the money because any winnings buy more bonds automatically.

Awww no! I have noticed that in the past, if I had a little bit more money than expected something will come along that needs sorting.
