Why you married your DH ask the DGC

We were discussing why my DH and I got married so I asked the DGC what they thought . One of them promply chimed in " Because he is hilarious "

Years ago, our own children, now 50 and 48, found it very strange that we had got married.

“Why didn’t you just live together?” they asked.

Found it unbelievable that ‘back then’, you just didn’t ‘live together’, you met, courted, went steady, got engaged, then got married, (hopefully in that order!).

They both lived with their future partners, but both have been married for over 20 years.

How times change.

Floradora9 my husband may get the same response if we asked the grandchildren. That and he tells great stories probably.

If you ask why he married me however.... 🤔

Our GCs are a bit young for that but the oldest who was 2 in august asked if I was my OHs friend, I said that he is my best friend to which he said I should let him play with my digger.

Floradora, I love love that, a fun person who makes you laugh is perfect and children can see that then perfect.
