I left a job in the civil service as a Clerical Officer and started a teacher training course at 36 and graduated when I was 40. I worked in further education teaching English, Communications and Psychology until I was 61 and loved every minute of it.

I’d say a big chapter opened when I moved to a new city on my own total fresh start, nobody knew me, and I had no idea what to expect. It was a mix of freedom and a little fear, but it shaped who I am. Another big chapter was switching careers; felt like going back to square one but with a clearer sense of purpose. Then there are the smaller chapters, like friendships that come and go or picking up new hobbies that end up teaching you a lot. Each one has its own story, and looking back, it’s cool to see how they all fit together.

It seems only fair! I have recently started helping out in a school. I have tried to learn to play the uke ( this is more a page turn than a chapter).
