I won a couple of competitions as a child – one for describing a school visit to Job's Dairy and one for something to do with Shakespeare. I can't remember whether either involved a prize but the results of the competitions were in the local newspaper. Either way, I was thrilled.

Yes, one or two over the years but nothing valuable. Mainly for ‘descriptions’ in 20 words or less sort of thing. I also won all of $ 18 in our Melbourne Cup sweep. I won a door raffle on our last cruise , a pair of diamond earrings which was nice. Especially as it was a free raffle !

Never won so much as a sausage and I've done a fair few of these comps in my time.

Mind you, after the Blue Peter competition rigging 'scandal' I can't help wondering if rigging still goes on......

......won any sort of competition, say, from a magazine, or television programme. When I was undergoing chemo, I used to keep myself busy with, mainly, magazine competitions but also entering the draws on Real Deal, Countryfile, etc and, just occasionally on Omaze.

I know I can look up the winners, but wondered if any Gransnetters had had a win.
