Would you like to swap nanna8? We've been very cold here, temperatures barely climbing above zero for the last few days. We didn't have much of a summer in North east England so I'd love a bit of heat.

nanna8

Hotter than normal for Melbourne at this time of year - 38 C . Melbourne weather often goes from very hot to very cold within an hour but we have had a couple of days of the heat. It is nice to wear Summer clothes, it’s been a longish winter this time. I read about the snow in the UK which sounds good just now. Very pretty. I am planning a trip to NZ next winter so will probably see some snow then.
What’s your weather like? I am not sure whether I prefer hot or cold really!

Said no one in the UK this week!

Very cold with snow here the last three days. At least it was dry and bright. This morning it’s dark, gloomy, rainy and cold. The snow is turning to slush. Enjoy your heat nanna8

Very frosty these last few days in London/Kent border, with temperatures as low as 2 degrees. Gusty winds and rain today, rising to 7 degrees! I hate wishing my life away, so will make the most of the dark days of Winter, with warm cosy clothing, log fires and casseroles in the slow cooker. Off now for a wet dog walk. 🐶☔️

Lots of snow here this morning (NE) after a week of practically zero temps and bitter wind. No wind today, though, which is a relief.

We gave your wind in the S E 💨💨💨 no doubt when the rain arrives it will be horizontal ☔️☔️☔️

nanna8 I love Melbourne and the heat, so I am envious as I sit in bed looking out at a grey English sky, the wind is blazing the leaves all over the place

One Christmas Eve on your fine city, we had brilliant sunshine one minute and what felt like freezing sleet on he next
🤣

Ooooh 38 C is too hot for me. After a few days of snow and ice, it is now raining heavily here. Storm Bert is on the way.

I love the snow nanna8 and we even had some here near Southampton on Thursday (but we haven’t got workmen leaving doors open). It’s been very cold, but today we’re due 14 with high winds and rain.

Yesterday in our part of Oxfordshire was 1 degree and windy.

We have builders in.

I keep getting having to close the front door, they also have the windows open, they are wearing hoodies and a Gilet, why not close the windows and take the heavy jackets off?

And for heavens sake close the Front door. 🥶

We are in NW England and I am freezing. It's pouring with rain and I have just brought a cup of tea back to bed while the house warms up a bit. The temperature in the house is 15 at the moment.

We have had some frosty days and one snowfall here on the NE coast, forecast is for milder weather for the next few days.
Don't think I could cope with 38 degrees now, used to get temperatures like that when we were in the south of France.

It has been pretty cold for the SW, temperatures only reaching 3C.
But today? Wind, rain and temperatures of 14C here, thanks to hurricane Bert!
