Good morning all from a calmer North Leicestershire.

I have a zoom session this afternoon. It is the penultimate session of this course and is on Benefits and forward planning. Always quite intense.

Home made fish and chips for tea.

Have the best day possible, everyone.

Good morning from damp South Lanarkshire.

Grandmabatty, I’m sorry you’re in so much pain, I understand not wanting to let your DD down but sometimes it can’t be helped.

Sounds like a marvellous production Ash.

Mass was entertaining yesterday, a toddler was being baptised and she wasn’t best pleased by the process. The look she gave the priest was priceless, resulting in the congregation erupting with laughter, he took it in good part.

We spent a pleasant afternoon with DD and family, the girls were all putting up little Christmas trees in their rooms as ‘it’s only four weeks away Grandma’! I had taken them crocheted snowflakes which they added to the decorations.

A little light housework is in order today then a final push with crocheting the angels for our yarn bomb.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from s somerset, calm and sunny today

Awful, just awful, scary weather yesterday and now the aftermath of the very heavy rain. I saw the disastrous floods in s wales on youtube

I am having breakfast and will prep for the allotment visit by 9. I know polytunnels have had covers ripped off. and people will be there inspecting damage, I will be there to sow my alliums, better late than never

Ds is coming this afternoon, plus by dds over the next few days

Have a good day

Ash, one of my earliest memories was of being a rabbit in Wind in the Willows. I must have been 4. My parents were much in am-dram in the Seychelles where we lived at the time.

Morning Mick, morning All. What a weekend! I think, hope, our corner of Somerset will get some weather respite today.

Sorted through the Christmas decorations A large bag to go to a charity shop and two even larger bags of items for the tip. In the afternoon a telephone chat with our friend who recently experienced a stroke reassured us both.

Off to meet a friend for lunch and coffee today, we meet close to the eye hospital so my usual trek. Mr C will enjoy a quiet day, I suspect when I return home the dining table will have disappeared under a heap of jigsaw pieces. There are worse things he could do.

Hope everyone and their homes remained dry yesterday. Mr C’s South Wales area of origin took a battering, we were both saddened to see images of streets very familiar to us both.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning from another lovely day in Malta. We are very fortunate with the weather. No need for heating or coats as yet!

Grandmabatty surely your DD would understand if she knew how unwell you are feeling. You really should look after yourself . I’m worried about you.

Ashcombe I went to a production of W in the W some years ago whilst visiting Stratford with my late sister and her DH. (They went to see King Lear which I thought would not be my cup of tea.) It was such a good performance and very amusing when Toad sailed in on a mobility scooter which served as his cars!

Had a quiet day yesterday after Mass and chatting to my friend but there was the Davis Cup final to watch so I was content.

No plans today other than the usual stuff around the house and a walk up to the village for milk and bread, and to stretch my legs.

Wishing a good day to all ☀️

Grandmabatty: I’ll try to include some photos eventually.

Good morning from Bristol. We weren’t affected by rain here, although it rained steadily all day yesterday. I haven’t looked out yet, besides it’s still dark. I hope our GM friends are ok.

Quiet day yesterday, stormy walk to church, which was, not unnaturally, abnormally quiet. “Stir-up” Sunday…

I’ve got a quick Tesco shop this morning, mercifully, my neighbour’s friend, who insists on making it “an outing”, isn’t coming. I don’t especially like her, but I have no other means (other than Uber) of getting to a big supermarket.

It’s the monthly Home Instead film show this afternoon. I’m always astonished at how the attendees staying their hermetic groups, never including people on their own, never even talking to them if they happen to share a table. It’s extraordinary.

I hope today is better for everyone, weather wise. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 8° and raining. Ash the set sounds marvellous.
Early childcare day and I'll struggle I think. I would cancel but it would let down dd really badly. I've been up nearly all night with the pain in my kidney, walking the floor frequently. It's not been great. I'll try to get a doctor's appointment but I don't hold out much hope. Have a good day

Good morning from a dry and calm Torbay at last.

A long rehearsal for Wind in the Willows last night due to the inclusion of a boat, barge, car and train besides mini sets on stage of homes for Mole, Rat and Badger. The set builders have done an excellent job but it leaves little space in the wings for the rather large number of people in the cast!

I hope everyone is warm and safe after Storm Bert. 🦩🌬💧🌨🦩
