But maybe a good entertaining author? I think so Oreo, the book on Rome was well researched and well written.
Found out today, can't take it in
Well, that was a farce.........

I have just started this book by BJ. Its such an entertaining read, his sense of humour and intelligence shines through. He was a truly inspirational PM. If he had not been knifed in the back by his own party he would have led the Tories to another landslide victory.

He got a worse deal than May on Brexit. He obviously did not have any handle on the details during Covid or at any other time, he lied on numerous occasions to the public and parliament, he thought he was above any rules that applied to the rest of the population and in my opinion was a disgrace as PM and an appalling representative of our country.

I’d read it if it was leant to me or from the library, books are so expensive to buy.

A buffoon!
He's a good author, not got that one BevSec but 'The Dream of Rome' is very good so might give 'Unleashed' a go too.

He certainly has a genius for re-inventing himself.. I don't think anyone else comes near in terms of self belief... it's quite extraordinary how thick skinned both he and his father are..
You probably need to be thick skinned to survive in politics, KS probably is as well, Rach too. She certainly looks hatchet faced.

Bev, he was very arrogant, partying when he had laid down rules for the rest of us, it was simply indefensible, then trying to deny and cover up.
People dont forget!
He tried to keep Pincher just because he was a "mate" of his against all advice from fellow conservatives.
Why couldn't he simply see it wasn't OK, nor see the political danger he was in.
Just as his "mates" got the covid contract handouts.
The arrogance of trying to prorogue parliament from its due process, fortunately halted by our independent judiciary.
I know he was greatly liked by a minority but its rose tinted specs.
Thank you for your comments, I do however think he was liked by more than a minority as he got a landslide victory. I am not sure he really was partying either, KS was also photographed socialising, I have seen a photo of that somewhere. I am sure KS tries to keep mates as well, Sue Gray for example. There was a comment above about how his children feel about his new family and I do agree with that, but politically my view is that he was a force for good for this country, and I fear that this government is not going to do very well.

I’m a third of my way through it BevSec. It’s a great ‘coffee table’ book. One to pick up and read a few pages when I’ve some vegetables on the hob or I’m enjoying a coffee. It’s highly entertaining. Mind you, I like Boris (which is why I bought the book). No point to further comments on here about it. To each their own eh? 😁
I liked Boris too, as you say each to their own but thank you for your comments, its good to know I am not alone! 💐

He will not come back to politics, 🙏🙏🙏🙏, as for cosying up with Farage, there simply wouldn’t be room for two such huge egos!
BJ didn’t get Brexit done, although he did facilitate us getting done by Brexit.
He ensured money was released for the Covid vaccine, he didn’t develop it, he didn’t oversee the rollout! He didn’t even attend Cobra meetings initially, he awarded very lucrative, yet ineffective contracts, costing £££££££, including PPE and track & trace.
Enough of both these odious men, if they fell off the planet I wouldn’t miss them and I might even glug a glass or two of champagne!
I highly doubt KS would have done better over Covid, he would be like a rabbit caught in the headlamps. Odious man leading an odious government.

The man was a menace, unfit to run a bath let alone a country.
Even most of the Tories turned their back on him after the whole sorry Pincher episode.
👏👏👏👏👏👏
I’m so sorry, BevSec, whilst you are perfectly entitled to your views your comments re BJ made me smile.
Inspirational is not the word I’d use for a self-serving, rule-breaking, adulterous liar!
I refuse to buy or read his book, he’s just like his father, and I have no desire to read about him or to line his pockets further!
BevSec are you Nadine in real life???

As I have stated before, BevSec, Mr Johnson stabbed himself in the back - remember him lying to Parliament ?
He was up against it trying to get Brexit through, there was covid where he acquitted himself well against the EU. As I say a truly inspirational leader who was brought down by envy in his own party. I wish he would come back in alliance with Nige.

This post is surely a wind up!!
I bought the book, but haven't got round to it yet.
I'm reading Fred Siriex's "Siriexly British" which is straightforwardly entertaining. I'm working up to Boris next.
I find it hard to believe anyone has a good word for this arrogant self serving man.
His wife must be a saint.
His “other” children must be full of anger/envy ? when they see photos of him with his young family.
However if he had been a good PM his private life would be unimportant but…….
annieyork: I presume this comment is sarcasm :-)
Yes you're right, would have given him a chance after all he put up with during Covid.
