Thanks all!

Parents are fine about it, I just needed a bit of reassurance.

Fine. It's filling and beans are a high protein source. And it's simple!

Sounds ok - I suppose it would depend on whether they are eating a decent lunch at school, and also if their parents give them something when they get home?

Also, every child is different, some a lot hungrier than others!

Nothing wrong with beans/cheese on toast followed by fruit. Jacket potato would also be simple and quick. Maybe make extra of what you eat the day before and just warm that up.

My GC who I pick up from school aged 5 - 9 would have spaghetti or cheese on toast as a snack straight away to get them through to dinner at around 6ish.

I don't see why not, what do their parents think?

Plus cheese on toast, spaghetti on toast etc.

I’ve started picking GC up from school ( -ages 4 to 7 ) and I have them until 6.00pm.
I just been giving them something on toast at around 4.30pm, plus a piece of fruit.
Is this ok?
Tbh I’m just too tired to do anything else.
