Happy New Year everyone, hugs for those feeling fragile and hoping that the poorly ones get better quickly.
Annie dog has the right idea, she’s barely moved since lunchtime 😊
DS and family are staying, they’ve gone to visit friends so it’s very peaceful here.
The weather is ‘orrible, very wet and windy so I don’t intend to venture out unless I have to!

PS, my friend across the road has not spoken to me by text or anything else since we went out for a meal the Saturday before Christmas.
No reciprocal greeting for the New Year, nothing.
Am I bothered…..?

Good afternoon all from a dire, we’re Stockport.
We are surrounded by serious flooding here.
The last time it was like this was 7 years ago, roads are closed , cars almost submerged and houses flooded.
I feel so very sorry for people affected.
We are on higher ground but some houses on this estate have drives sloping down to the house and although it isn’t in any houses, garages are flooded and electricity is off.
It is still raining although not like yesterday and through the night.
What an awful start to the New Year.

I had a pretty dreadful Christmas which frankly I just want to forget about.
It will never be allowed to happen again on my watch.
NYE wasn’t much better , I was on my own and in bed at 9;30 pm after crackers and cheese.

I hope very sincerely you all fared better and had an enjoyable time.
I think I shall be in the quiet corner for the foreseeable future.

Happy New Year to all my lovely friends in the kitchen. I will just stand at the door and wave as we are both full of germs. DH bless him has given me whatever lurgy he picked up and the most exciting thing we have done for a week is turn the morning alarm off. Wishing you all peace and happiness this coming year. X

Ours not looking too good dh was diagnosed with a dvt yesterday.
Just hope the blood thinners do their job quickly. We’ve been told it could take up to six months!

We have spent today at the nursing home helping move mum to nursing care.Ironically she seemed a lot better today.We had a lovely chat with the chaplain which was a great help to us.

A quiet night in together for us tonight.Perfect☺️
