I have just tried to order presents on a site I always use. I put in my saved password and was rejected so I took the choice of resetting. This was rejected too so I tried as a new customer to be locked out. They've just lost my business!

I’ve been on a building society account of mine today, not used for a while.

I know I used the correct username and password, but three times it said one was wrong. On the fourth go, I got in.

DH had the same with his. I think it’s to test you if you haven’t used the site recently.

I refused the ‘reset password’ option as I hadn’t forgotten it!

I've had this and then left it say half an hour and got in first time. An absolute pain in the proverbial.

I found the same so they have also lost my business. Cannot be bothered going through all the rigmarole of registering again especially when I hardly used them in the first place.

Doesn't your browser save passwords for you?

Chrome and Safari both ask if I want the password saved. Once it's saved it will automatically log me in, or autofill the login boxes.

My online bank won't accept a 'saved' password so that's the only one I have to remember.
